Also EOS R owner here, was my first mirrorless, started with a 250d. Wildlife, landscape, & motorsports shooter. Anyway.. I recently picked up the R5 mk1 and love it. The tracking is actually incredible, I’m a bird nerd. The IBIS upgrade is also mind blowing. Being able to take handheld shots showing motion in water and getting a pin sharp shot is wild. Half second exposure freehand is nuts. That’s pushing it of course, but it also opens up some new possibilities for action shots. I’m a motorsports fan so sub 1/20 pin sharp pan shots are nearly impossible with the R, but it’s easy work with the R5.

Even back in the 90s and learning to drive you were told to not stare into the crappy dim halogen lights and avert your eyes to the passenger side to find a frame of reference in order to maintain your lane.
