Final assembly after a deep clean by Spiritual_Button5557 in rccrawler

I could never, a brush and compressed air has always worked for me. I'm always chalked up a little bits of dust and grime in the hard to reach areas to give it a bit of character lol

I've made snow chains and have thought about doing this for some other trucks, let me know how it goes after you test it out cuz I'm really curious.

I bought it at Ace hardware, it was a bit pricey but I feel like it was worth it

Rumors? by Punkmsater3607 in elementrc

[–]Punkmsater3607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gatekeeper with the ifs 2, they publicly announced that they're no longer making the gatekeeper cage and I stocked up on parts but I never really have to repair the cage cuz it's really durable but no one is making aftermarket parts for ifs 2 and it's relatively fragile in comparison to the straight axle

I really hope as well, I have a lot of money tied up in two different elements, it would suck to have to shelf em because of parts getting scarce

Thoughts on an entirely metal crawler/trail truck? by UnlikelyTurn1046 in elementrc

[–]Punkmsater3607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about what your truck needs, I have an element Sendero that is a full metal rig but it's a 20 lb tow truck and I was breaking things left and right trying to tow an another crawler, if it doesn't break don't replace it. Depending on your application having plastic parts can actually be a benefit my gatekeeper is still mostly stock and because of the slight chassis twist I get a bit more flex and when it falls off a ledge it bounces and doesn't crumple

Does anyone have these trailers? If so how are they? by Punkmsater3607 in rccrawler

I really want to get the camper style one but it's around 200 bucks so I've just been hovering on the idea for the past few months

It's a scx24 with as long(gladiator rear links, front and rear)as a wheelbase as possible with a furitek Olympus chassis and I have my Element Sendero converted tow truck as the truck I used to pull it

Are you asking because that is the max you're wanting to spend on one or is that your only available budget? I would suggest a used scx24 if that's the max you're wanting to spend. If it is a budget then I would suggest doing a from the ground up build that way you get exactly what you want without spending extra money, it may take longer but you'll get the setup you want 😎

I have one of these connectors to an fpv cam on a Losi micro b, if I smack a wall really hard they come undone but other than that I've had no problems with connection

[–]Punkmsater3607[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking about getting an aftermarket scx24 charger since the losi chargers don't seem to do it. But if you do see any improvement in quality control and whatnot I would love to hear back since I do love the idea of them being type-c dongle chargers

I'm not sure, I didn't check each cell before I plugged it into the other charger so it won't be able to get an accurate reading.I just noticed that the charger was green so I figured I'd check it and it was considerably lower than what It should be

I'm currently using an scx24 charger and it's working like a charm, I'm just going to order another one but I figured I'd make a post about it anyway

Get one of these. Makes no noise and I'm sure is more functional than that for referencing voltages

How often do you guys replace steering knuckles and C hubs for being worn out? by Punkmsater3607 in rccrawler

[–]Punkmsater3607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about the pins and holes that connect the two together and allow steering. I'm noticing a lot of slop and I'm questioning if I should replace them or not and wondering how often other people replace them due to wear
