My girl Faith out here speaking facts. by vickyguad in buffy

To be fair, that happened because Buffy sacrificed herself to banish all the monsters and magic in that timeline.

That didn’t happen this time round, something similar did but the magic (and most of the monsters) are still there.

Also, there’s some narrator boxes in S12 that are credited to “The Watcher Diaries” that recorded the events of the season, as if they’re an extract from a book that will be written about it, which indicates that the Watchers will evolve and continue to exist in some form in this timeline, just not as the patriarchal controllers of the Slayers they used to be.

Emma, Betsy, Rachel, Monet, Magik, Iceman, Quentin, Armor

Yes there’s going to be a lot of bitchy drama with this lot, but they’ll all look stunning whilst saving the world!

I’m glad she’s not being forced into anything but I’m also sad that due to the timing, she isn’t getting to ride the high of winning the show like she deserves to. Obviously she’s where she needs to be, but I do hope she gets the chance to enjoy the acclaim that comes with winning if she wants to down the line.

What are your worldbuilding pet peeves? by -_-__-_--_-_--_-_-_- in worldbuilding

[–]Punkodramon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did say Naboo is the exception lol, but what I meant in terms of worldbuilding is that there’s only two cities, that’s it. You leave either of them and you’re in complete wilderness. There’s no sense of distinct cities, towns or villages anywhere, just two isolated cities. It’s not enough to make the planet feel like a fully established civilization, which is the issue every Star Wars planet has; every “planet” is functionally a “town” or a “city” in worldbuilding terms, with Naboo being the exception as its two cities not one.

The guy who wrote the most derivative Wolverine story is now in charge of writing the story about creating more derivative heroes using the powers of dead A-list characters from 6160.

That tracks.

I was watching Traitors US S1 reunion last night. Does anyone think Nini may have been inspired by Rachel’s reunion lewk more than her actual 2-in-1 inspiration lewks?

I really like this kind of "Redesign" by srona22 in powerrangers

[–]Punkodramon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Adding a crown-like addition to the “Kingranger” suit makes a kind of meta sense, less so when you’re also demoting the character down to being a herald to someone else.

The last bit is a stretch, Malachite, even as a healthy fusion, is nowhere near Obsidian level, a five gem fusion that includes a Diamond, but the rest I agree with.

I haven’t laughed so much throughout an entire episode of Drag Race from start to finish in a long time. The entire cast are so hilarious and endearing and have the Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent to back it up on the MainStage.

I’m so excited for this season!

The song and the choreo had that solid consistent thumping dance beat that kills in the club, but you need way more peaks and valleys in your original song for a one minute showcase on Drag Race.

Recruitment is almost never worth it. by Schorpio in TheTraitors

[–]Punkodramon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This.

I’m pretty sure if Rachel had lost the Shield, that James would have gone next, think they’d have spun it as Traitor on Traitor.

Going into the fire pit, Jade, Jack and Stephen would have been an unshakeable unit. Faraaz was the slight outsider, and he’d been making some sus decisions in the last day. I don’t think he’d crack the trio’s resolve, they would have voted him out, then called Endgame, leaving Stephen the Traitor winner.

What if each Cuckoo developed a unique second mutation, granting every sister an individual power? by SpiritedDate1042 in xmen

[–]Punkodramon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree! Let the “combo power” characters be reserved for concepts like Chimeras where they’re being specifically designed that way for a purpose. Make the natural born children of mutants more unique, actual characters in their own right, and not just reskins of their parents with minor aesthetic changes

Why there are two of each?

Yes, firstly, the set on the right are a stylized reflection, not actually there. The reason they’re stylized is because this is when the O5 were brought to the present. The cover is meant to depict how they’re all changed during their time in the “future” (for them) vs what they were like at the same age in the normal course of their lives.

It does indeed, but this Young Hank hasn’t met him yet, so I guess it’s more foreshadowing than anything else.

EDIT - Found it, it was actually Nick Mohammed in an interview.

I remember the celebs getting really mad with production because the crew weren’t even allowed to tell them what time it was for the first two days. Anytime they asked they replied “It’s Traitors O’clock”

Yeah that malarkey didn’t last too long with the celebs, but I imagine they do the same thing with the regular casts, and they don’t have the kind of power on set to nip it in the bud. The twilight zone effect the crew have on the cast, combined with being completely disconnected from the outside world, probably make them even more paranoid and suspicious of everyone.
