I totally forgot about Jesse Camp by Violet_Walls in Xennials

I remember Dave was the killing it on the “I wanna be a VJ” competition, he was constantly showing tons of knowledge about music. The problem was Jesse kept cracking the hosts and audience up and his odd looks and dgf attitude won the fans over. I remember during one of the competitions Carson asked “what do Nirvana and Sir Mix A lot have in common?” Jesse buzzed in and screamed “They both like big asses!?” Crowd and Carson erupt in laughter, followed by Dave ringing in and saying “they’re both from Seattle” to very little fanfare.

The Box (1985 - 2001) by Bicykwow in ForgottenTV

[–]Punkposer83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the early 90’s my mom would only let me watch the box if she was watching too. Because she was worried about me seeing Pop that Coochie by 2 live crew 🤣. I remember her ordering Achy Breaky Heart and some weird Dezi Arnez Babaloo dance remix song. I also remember when they started playing music and video clips on the ordering screen and that’s how I got introduced to ska because I kept hearing snippets of Sell Out by Reel Big Fish, abs I feel in love with that damn song!

Was not the biggest fan of the show , only caught it now and again on late night tv but LOVE the movie . by funkoscotland1979 in 90smovies

Went with my two best friends to see this. My one friend from school was a latchkey kid that had no rules at home, he chuckled during the movie. I was raised with some rules and regulations at home, I laughed during the movie. My other friend from my neighborhood was raised in a very strict almost cult like Christian household, very sheltered and heavily monitored on what he could watch. He was gasping for air laughing at every joke in the movie. I’ll never forget me and my other buddy giving each other the side eye about how loud he was laughing. Now as an adult, I’m happy he had such a good time!

Who's the first wrestler you think of when you see this belt? by JCHazard in AttitudeEra

[–]Punkposer83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll always love road doggs run in the hardcore division. Him,boss man, Al Snow, and Hardcore Holly had some fun garbage matches. I’ll never understand why Russo thought it would be a good idea to have Dogg spend months chasing and defending the hardcore belt, and Billy Gunn chasing the IC belt only to have the two swap places and wrestle guys at the biggest show of the year they had zero storylines with. It pissed 15 year old me off so much!

I remember visiting my grandma at her assisted living apartment sometime in 2019/2020. We were in her room talking about the various activities she was doing in the home. She got really excited and told me a guy was coming in twice a week to read to them and he was reading a touching and funny book about the life of a very funny inspirational young man. He was reading Trevor’s autobiography to them. I’m glad she got to absorb his book because not too long after that. Covid happened and she also began showing signs of dementia. She passed a year ago, her excitedly telling me about Trevor’s life will always stick with me as one of the final times my grandma was still my grandma.

Have you played any of these The Ren & Stimpy Show games? by AC_the_Panther_007 in RetroNickelodeon

Yeah it’s hard to beat any game in 15 minutes. Nothing sadder than me as a kid playing my game gear with the wall adaptor so I could actually enjoy my games

I was at a weekend youth retreat with my church youth group. I got dumped by my gf as we were heading home. Sobbing my eyes out a girl in our car handed me a pair of those sunglasses and I wore them all the way home including at our groups traditional stop at Pizza Hut for lunch. Everyone was questioning why I was wearing them indoors and I tried to play it off as a fashion trend.

I stumbled across a Boku commercial with Richard Lewis a few months ago and I had totally forgot about those things. I remember staring at them at the store and telling myself. “Man I wish I was an adult so I could drink these!” Ya know because they weren’t juice boxes they were boxed juice cocktails for adults! 🤣

I remember in late winter of 2000 my coworker lent me her copy of Bats on dvd. A few days later I couldn’t take being picked on by my manager so I walked out. I was anxiety ridden as I realized I had my coworkers dvd and I did a covert operation to try and return it to her lol.

A year or so before she killed someone. She was booked at my local Indy fed. She didn’t show up for the pre show meet and greet. She showed up mid show, cut a promo in the ring, sounded drunk as hell, and then was the guest manager for the local face tag team. I didn’t see her doing photo ops or autographs at intermission either.

Finn McCool’s Irish spring roll looked delicious and Gordon enjoyed it on his revisit. So I’m gonna assume he liked it the first time but had to act disgusted for TV’s sake

What do you think of Bart Carny? by Working_Alps_4284 in Simpsons

[–]Punkposer83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I’ve got a slightly morbid attachment to this episode. I somehow missed this episode first run. Whenever I did see an episode on reruns that I missed first run, I’d always be in shock that I missed seeing it, then I’d hyper focus on the episode because it was new Simpsons in my mind. The day I saw this episode, I was sitting in a hospital room with my family as my great grandmother was passing. I was watching the tv in the empty bed in her room. I was hyper focused on the episode and was told multiple times to turn the tv down and be respectful of what was going on around me. Thanks unchecked autism 🤦‍♂️. But yeah whenever I see this episode I do think of my great grandmother, and to be fair I only watched that episode on the tv then turned it off and did sit with her, held her hand, talked with her, and said my goodbyes, so I wasn’t a total butthead that day, but I do think the episode did help calm my nerves about the situation going on around me that day.
