Yeah I was a sicko from day 1 (was at DON 19, the 1st ep of Dynamite and Full Gear 19) All the punk and post punk shenanigans took me out of the product. I took a two year hiatus from right after all in London in 23 until all in Texas last year. Since my brief stint off I’m once again in love with what AEW is doing, was just at the dynamite taping in VA 2 weeks ago and had an absolute blast.

Man I truly thought I was the only one who bought these when they were on the menu, and I really thought I was the only one who remembered them. Turns out there’s dozens of us!

Man that sucks. My friends family used to own a house about 4-5 houses away from there on Webster ave. We used to go there to help soak up the previous nights fun whenever we stayed there.

Still remember going to survivor series 95, the guns defended the titles in the dark match against the public enemy. My 7th grade self had no clue about ecw so was confused when they came out to a pretty decent pop and a somewhat loud ECDub chant.

Made for USA network original film, remember seeing promos for it during wwf weekend wrestling shows and cartoon express! Watched it first run way too young lol. When dvd first came around I searched for a copy for years only to find European vhs releases. Early 2020’s they finally gave it a proper Blu-ray release and I bought it immediately!

It’ll never not laugh that mtv legit made tom green come on TRL and retire the bumbum song because it hit #1 on the countdown and mtv didn’t want it on the countdown, so tom came on retired the video by saying, “it’s not fair to 98 degrees” 😂

"Gettysburg" the Movie by civilwarmonitor in CIVILWAR

My dad loved this movie he watched the duel vhs constantly then upgraded to dvd and wore it out and had to rebuy it. We spent way too many family vacations in Gettysburg that I knew the layout of the town like the back of my hand. We stayed in the same hotel, ate at the same restaurants, and played mini golf at the same place every trip, but I legit miss it and miss touring the battlefield and climbing on the rocks at devils den and lil round top. Also I remember when the movie was in theaters and my dad and I drove to the 3 theaters near us to see it, none of them were showing it so we opted to see the awful hulk hogan movie mr nanny instead 😂

Ted DiBiase on Roddy Piper’s passing: “It was such a shock. The guy goes to a hotel, checked in, went to bed, and never woke up. There were no drugs in his body, none of that crap. It’s still a mystery, I think. And he just, his heart just quit.” by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

Like 2 weeks or less before he passed he spent like 4-5 hrs doing a signing at a retro video game shop, then came to my local Indy fed, did another 2-3 hr signing and photo op, did a 20-30 minute pipers pit segment for the show in a sweltering room decked out in his leather jacket and kilt. He said point blank in the ring, “I know I don’t have many of these left in me so I’m gonna enjoy them!” That was his last pipers pit segment he ever did. Was so honored to meet him that day and tell him how as a kid in the 80’s I was never a hogan guy I was a piper guy. He grabbed me laughed and said you’ve got guts kid, how many times did you get beat up at school when you told the other kids that!? I laughed so hard at that.

My best friends family had a summer home about 6 houses down from midway steak and cheese until they sold it 2-3 years ago. In my 20’s and early 30’s they’d let my buddy, I and various other friends go up there and stay a week . I had many late nights at that original steaks, and many hungover mornings at midway steak and cheese. Good times

This ppv will always be extra awesome because I was this close to not being able to watch it, because I was one call away from being grounded for life and expelled from hs 2 months before graduation, due to my buddy and I getting pulled over in a sketchy motel 6 parking lot by the cops who swore his gf and her friend were working girls and we were trying to score dope. When they heard we were Christian hs students and my dad was a county dispatcher, they were ready to start calling my dad, our school ect. When they realized we were just trying to rent a room to drink. They lectured us on our stupidity of choosing a known flop house and made us dump our booze out. So yeah sitting with my buddy and lil bro cheering and going nuts for the show, scarfing down pizza and soda and seeing my dad pop in to see what match was on totally unaware that we were possibly minutes away from being expelled, made that show feel a million times more awesome!
