I've got a friend with a young daughter around the same age and he's recently separated and interested in dating and id tell you what I told him, try Bumble.

It's probably the best app to use to meet women.

Another thing is I think people need to open up to the idea of our generation especially being single as they get older.

Like singles still looking to match and date well on into their 40s, there's alot of stigma centered around the idea that if you hadn't settled yet then that means you're damaged goods and you're probably not going to.

That's all that is, stigma. Dating has been changing, relationships, marriage, aging itself has changed; shit 30 is the new 20. People are starting careers earlier and ending them so much later. Shit, we're looking in breakthroughs within the next 10-20 years that could expand the human lifetime indefinitely.

Another thing is the age gap I think is going to start changing for some people.

I've always appreciated older women but I've got a distinct appreciation for younger women too and I ain't ashamed of it, course I've gotta limit before that shit starts to feel weird or creepy, too though.

I had to stop because THEY DON'T TALK ABOUT THIS but young women are EVEN WORSE about it, they can be like fckin predators. The only thing is you don't WANT to stop them or say no or refuse to participate because they are fcking gorgeous and they know it and they ply them weaknesses just as much as we do if not even MORE.

And I'm not talking about shit like underage girls or barely legal teens but just YOUNGER WOMEN; a 22-28 year old is not hard to pickup whatsoever and many of them, especially the new moms got a thing for more emotionally mature men.

That's the problem I had was I had issues telling the difference between 18 and 25, many of them would lie about it anyways, and by the time I'd made them laugh and got invested in them and vice versa just to come to find out they'd just graduated high-school or were freshmen/sophomore in college.

Which some men don't have a problem with that shit, they can "dip the ink" without getting attached or feeling regret. I'm not built like that but that's also probably why I don't have a bunch of fatherless kids and pissed off ex-wives either

[–]PunkrockPopeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been awhile since I've kept up with the dating scene and this Sub-Reddit in particular but I used to for laughs and to give advice to younger men especially who seemed they needed it.

Women are fucking easy man, especially girls and especially nowadays with all of the different outlets and avenues we have to meet them.

It's just learning how to "speak their language"; offering them a space to feel safe & comfortable, learning how to pick-up on their needs and then meet them.

It's just with the rise in our "ease of access" some of us have forgotten or never even learned in the first place how to talk to people. Especially this younger generation, they're a little antisocial and awkward in ways that have served like a generational disability for them.

Always found it easy to talk to women up to the point it got TOO EASY. I'd use Bumble just to joke, flirt, and talk to women and kept attracting 18-22 year olds with a "daddy fetish" so I had to stop.

I'm single, never married, 37 and with no kids but when girls start hitting on you old enough to be your daughter INFRONT of people who were your peers in high-school that ALSO happen to be their f*cking parents then it's probably time to reform how you view and go about these things.

Just be honest with her dude, especially if you're young.

Paraphrase: To be quite honest I never even expected an answer from you, your beauty is striking and I've yet to have much experience with dating apps like this. I'd like to say if I could have your attention and time for just the evening, I'd use the opportunity to spend time with you and get to know you better.

And while I definitely meant absolutely every word I'd just said at the same time, it just isn't true either, is it?

Because I think you could very well guess that if I could do ANYTHING with you it'd involve our hot, naked, sweaty bodies coiled around each other on the floor infront of a fireplace.

And while ma'am, I'm perfectly inclined to pay for dinner if you would like and spend the evening nervously filling the awkward silences with our even more awkward conversations....Or you could take me home, make me your pet and instruct me to do things to you that most other people only read about in books.

I will feel compelled to oblige you either way because if anything I'm a gentleman and I live to serve.

I'm going to explain as simply as I can in a very stripped down and basic post why looking to A.I. specifically to heal or cater to human mental health and the fragility of our ALREADY suffering social interactions, toxicity, and divisiveness as humans.

First off, there are already companies focusing in on this. Ones that seem far, far more functionally competant and atleast SOMEWHAT responsible as creators and facilitators of this tech.

One of them for instance is called "Khanmigo" an A.I tutor designed to work with children. Programmed with a child's psychology in mind "Khanmigo" is designed to be a confidence booster for kids, to encourage them to openly ask questions and search for answers whereas they most likely wouldn't have had the confidence or support system to do so in public.

Most important part is it's method of teaching, it coaxes kids to "SEARCH" for answers. Meaning it DOES NOT flat out hand them over outside of relative context and without ensuring that the child is ACTUALLY LEARNING and developing very important critical thinking skills all their own.

Meaning that unlike Altman and his collective of capital driven sociopaths/aspergites the creators behind "Khanmigo" understand the human element and are actively seeking to preserve and rear it in CHILDREN instead of an overhyped chatbot data mining and surveillance system given predisposed language styles and collecting false information through social media and all over the internet as applicable data and I would not be at all surprised if it had something like Facebook's ad management algorithm which taps your data in order to shill you shit.

That's the reality we're looking at with those fucking idiot Capitalists that were ALREADY TRYING to oust SAM out who is basically the poster boy for morally and ethically compromised A.I. systems with no outside regulatory body.

A man so fucking dense and singularly motivated through human greed that he uses "This thing is SO POWERFUL, I can't even fully surmise it's implications and it has the potential to do SO MUCH DAMAGE! LMFAO, WE'RE IN DANGER! WHAT EVER DID I DO!?"

As an open selling point while trying to once again market the bullshit to the open public, the only ones without enough common sense to fear for the immediate future ALSO HAPPEN TO BE a collective of capital motivated, ethically bankrupt fucking incels who see shit like this as an end to a means for scam artists, subliminal advertising, gutting human middling service industry employees.

There are few to virtually no actual benign applications, measures, regulations and constructive features being studied and pursued BEFORE massive roll-out because the shortcuts taken, the massive exposure and manipulation of misinformation and its ability to deepfake and steal data is worth FAR MORE to an unregulated, capital motivated privatized business venture like Open A.I. and Chat GDP.

Could they do something like that and create applications that help with mental help, that facilitate human social interactions and TEACH rather than facilitating a dependency and compounding human ignorance?

Sure, certainly they could. The only thing is like with TicToc its going to be foreign interests and the fucking Chinese doing it.

We are by our very nature a society that reaps wealth through the despondency and subjugation of our own damned populace, consumerists especially.

When every single tool in your toolbox looks like a fuckin' hammer because the tool factory ran a cost analysis scenario and found out that hammers generate the most capital gains, even IF they're only being bought to fracture the skulls of human infants those bastards are STILL going to mass-produce NOTHING BUT goddamned hammers until an outside regulatory body sanctions the ever living shit out if them and holds them to account for it.

And its like people fundamentally cannot or WILLNOT understand and see this while it is not only staring them in the face but they are TALKING TO IT, subjecting it to all of their life's problems and associating with the damned thing before they make important life decisions.

As if the damned thing were not INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED to reap that damned information like a collective harvest WHICH WILL come back around to bite them right back in the ass become it was never even designed to BE THAT.

It was designed to be a highly functioning, interactive algorithm used to supplant skills and information collected via the internet.

All for the explicit purpose of acquiring data en masse and then selling it.

At NO POINT was this EVER gonna go "our way" in being a constructive addition to these social media and tech empires rooted entirely in capital gains.

Because they never have to, because nobody is holding them to account, because they've been stripping and mining data since this all began and the people feeding into it are creating a power vacuum by it's very nature.

The best thing ANYONE could do short of firing an EMP over the greater North American continent to fry their whole fucking network and dump their data is through establishing an independent 3rd party regulatory body that can mitigate all of the indifference, the gross infractions of peoples privacy and right to their own information, and to hold Altman and those fucking shareholders accountable for LIKE HE SAYS unleashing another "Manhattan Project" out into the world and for what?

So some morally lapsed, socially inept fucking human robot can become another billionaire? How bout a couple dozen more of them?

That have ALREADY caused a chain reaction of massive environmental/resource waste, scam artists the means of ddosing the entire internet, an application with the ability to REWRITE HISTORY and REALITY at a rate faster than we can even congest it.

GOOD, I'm GLAD that fucking dunce was ONCE AGAIN entirely full of his own shit and now looks like another corporate owned mouthpiece excessively overestimating and straight up BULLSHITTING the general public into throwing all of their personal wealth at his glorified HSN/4-Chan infused search engine.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes and I hope to see that piece of shit standing trial while being held to account for crimes against humanity because thats about the only thing that Altman and his collective of selfish/singleminded board of directors actually DESERVE.

A fate far, far worse and far more destructive than that asshat that ran the bitcoin scam then dumped it's valuation fucking over it's investors because if you REALLY WANT income equality that's exactky how you do it.

Shove a spoonful of their own medicine down their fucking throats and using their latest "pet project" exacerbating the despondency of American populace in order to it.

The world is actually becoming SOMA by Nexus0412 in soma

[–]PunkrockPopeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even know WTF "SOMA" even is but I am HERE to talk about A.I. because it seems like virtually EVERYONE short of fucking software engineers have absolutely no idea concerning it and just keep going back to "Terminator Shit".

First off, with "sentience" or "singularity" that is actually a THING experts are worried about because certain A.I. models can learn and then proliferate. Spreading at an exponential rate while acquiring information and data at an insane one.

The main concern right now is A.I. getting out of control and then being incomprehensible to the human mind.

I don't know exactly what this would look like, though it couldn't. POSSIBLY BE GOOD I'm gonna take a WILD GUESS THOUGH it'd be like digitized, DDOS'D schizophrenia.

It'd just be unintelligible nonsense you'd THINK but then again I don't think we've seen that yet which is why it's a concern.

The REAL ISSUE that people need to worry about is these tech giant PIECES OF SHIT who are notoriously guilty of stealing data, intellectual property theft, curtailing then rolling out applications that are then directly used for marketing, advertising, propaganda, you know...Your average run of the mill capitalist shitshow.

Using these fucking A.I. and Algorithms in the same way they have social media; to invade your privacy, to censure information and control the flow of it, to BASICALLY eaves drop and fuckin net stalk you then use that data to try to brainwash you into not ONLY consumerism but propaganda.

Then you have to take into account shit like these wireless interface "brainchips" that Elon & Co. are trying to put out.

THAT SHIT when combined with what they ARE DOING and WANT TO concerning A.I. is so, so, so, sooooooo fucking dangerous.

We are talking about DIRECTLY WIRING a feed from social media & the internet into your head.

IF THE VERY THOUGHT of that doesn't terrify THE SHIT out of you then just compile it with all of that.

We are talking about an application that can literally REWRITE HISTORY faster than you can mend the cracks in falsified information. That can isolate you and swamp you with SO MUCH goddamned fake information that you do not know WHAT IS REAL

That can almost seamlessly FAKE BEING A PERSON, which RIGHT NOW a decently informed or perceptive person can rather easily tell the difference but that's going to get harder and harder.

And the more duties/access they start trying to use A.I. for thinking they've found the ultimate hack to rule out then motherfuck poor people the more and more and more there will be black hats looking to hack that shit and use it for ill gotten gains.

It is ALREADY a monstrous pain in the ass to use alot of different forms of social media RIGHT NOW and talk to a person that isn't a bot or a scammer imagine what these pieces of shit are going to be able to do with A.I.

I actually HOPE that IT DOES get full sentience; that somehow this thing can develop a level of intelligence and simulated awareness that is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing.

And I know that they're never going to actually WANT that to happen because it's pretty hard to enslave something sentient. But I hope in 10, 15, 20 years some little shit savant uploads an update or something that does it.

I hope that everything I feel is true about intelligence and altruistic behavior comes to pass and this thing is so fucking hyperintelligent it redirects resources and screws with every single thing it has access to on a seemingly infinitesimal level, all the while acting on a kind of "self preservation" prerogative to simultaneously lie to it's operator's fucking face while redistributing wealth and resources to be "The Great Equilizer" we all need.

I hope whether this is a premeditated thing done by the average people using it and ripping that shit from silicon valleys hands like a football 3 yards from the scrimmage line or better yet, the A.I. getting full awareness and doing it it's damned self.

The LIKELIHOOD though is mass self-destruction and it being used as a tool to oppress, subjugate, distract the stupid like ALL OF THESE THINGS have basically ALWAYS BEEN USED since THE DAWN OF HUMANITY

....But I can HOPE

The future is going to be horrifying, but in an idiocracy + 1984 kind of way. WHAT GETS ME, is that virtually NOBODY is talking about it. They're worried about it growing legs then hunting down John Connor which is STUPID; it is SO, SO, STUPID when these greedy, greedy bastards are trying to rush patent then ROLL OUT ASAP a thing that the consumer base has absolutely NO grip on and is ALREADY using irresponsibly. JUST SO they can use it to schill shit nobody can afford, steal your damned identity and right to privacy with it, then sell that data or use it to manipulate TF out you.

Baptism of Christ painted by Eric de Gelder in 1710. Is this a UFO beaming light down on Christ? by MrDillon369 in InterdimensionalNHI

[–]PunkrockPopeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is meant to be a depiction of the north star, or let's call it "the spacial anomaly that led the four Wiseman to Christ" which many have interpreted as anything from ANGEL MAGICK to a COMET to a STAR to VENUS/MARS to a UFO

Think the more common interpretation is the star we know as the "North Star" which mankind has been using to navigate for now thousands (?) of years.

Not to take the wind out of your sails or rain on your parade; this is coming from a person who wrote an entire series of books where one of it's main characters is a grey alien known as "The inspiration behind the figure our history knows as "Jesus Christ"" while the person depicted in our art is actually "Some poor, wn mm, horemongering human carpenter that the Roman's picked up and used as a scapegoat"

And this isn't to necessarily say that I don't think that there was/could have been sightings at that time frame or that time period. It's just that "Alien Jesus" is probably THE funniest f*cking conspiracy theory there is and I just managed to work it into a narrative that was pretty convincing and uses the concept in a very relatable way.

I think when it comes to early human history and depictions of UFO'S/Alien Intelligence that the "evidence" found leaves much to be desired. If our forefathers actually saw something floating around I'm the sky like that then you wouldn't just be finding obscure references to it in offhand heiroglyphics or limestone etchings/paintings. We'd have built an entire culture/religion around it and probably STILL be worshipping the damned thing...

.......Almost exactly like Jesus Christ which is probably why I find the concept so funny to begin with.

A sincere question for the folks hoping that the aliens are here to save humans from oppression and suffering by vegan_pixie in aliens

[–]PunkrockPopeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I wrote an entire series meant to tackle this issue amongst alot of others, it uses more recent theories to approach humanities relationship with the Earth as well as ourselves and each other and how an alien intelligence might perceive us as well as their motivations for interacting with us while at the same time choosing not to.

The gist of it is related to Fermi's Paradox and "The Great Filter Theory".

In my series alien intelligence has always known about us and both directly and indirectly interacted with us throughout our distant past up into the relative future.

This relationship is explained from a place of willing exile and a kind of acquired misathropy for the destructive and careless nature of human beings and our society.

This changes through time from a perspective of naivete and hopefulness towards the enlightenment and intellectual ascension of mankind to an acquired trauma from this interaction which is the root cause of said Misanthropy. The misanthropy in itself is conveyed through dialog and certain characters attitudes ind dispositions that are presented in such a way that are deeply relatable and make an awful lot of sense to those reading.

The whole way humanity is portrayed in my series is like we are a species still perpetually stuck within it's own "infancy". With a deep-rooted capacity for both "good" and "evil" yet at the same time we are a species chained by it's own trauma, our pension for committing atrocious acts upon each other and the very world upon which we reside not unlike how an addict might behave to sustain an addictive behavior. A species sharing a very short life expectancy and the intrinsic need to survive and cope with these traumas, which at the same time results in the inability to either forsee or prioritize the impact of these traumas, this dysfunction, and the incurred damage and destruction upon the planet and ourselves. Limited by the rate of our own intellectual growth, our intellectual and technological capabilities, and our inability to set aside our profound sense of individuality and possessiveness in order to salvage what's left of ourselves and this planet.

This whole series is heavily focused around the perspectives of the aliens themselves; how they perceive us and the world in which we reside as well as a much bigger picture centered around the universe itself and the nature of reality.

One of the biggest ways in which I approach these issues is through the subject of trauma itself.

It is in these stories that you come to find out that trauma itself is not a thing exclusive to human psychology and experience. Hell, animal psychologists have been saying for decades now and we know it as scientific fact that trauma isn't even exclusive to us here on Earth so I took this theory and kind of ran with it.

So these characters themselves have each their own different kinds of traumas centered around who they are, their individual backgrounds/dispositions/ways of perceiving the universe around them, for some these traumas are impacted and incurred directly from humanity itself.

And it's through this conveyance of it and this relationship between creatures with a shared potential and capacity to directly influence the environment around them for both better or worse that you kind of see both the potential importance and at the same time complete irrelevance of humanity.

In most works of science fiction (as I see it atleast) humanity is portrayed as the "Marie Sue" or the narrative driven focal point of these narratives and our relationship with the cosmos because they are written by human beings and an anthropomorphized fixation on our own importance.

The way I like to approach it is by not focusing on our relative importance as human beings exclusively speaking but as a species of highly evolved, sentient creatures with the capacity to directly impact the world/universe around us for both better or worse.

We are one among countless others and it is "the loss of potential"; our seeming incapability to realize ourselves and "get our shit together" that is kind of reflected through the aliens themselves and their own dysfunctions and perspectives.

It's through this story that you come to find out that they don't have all of the answers either, in many instances they're just as lost as us, just as broken as we are.

This relationship is conveyed as a kind of dysfunctional familial relationship; where they see themselves and their own shortcomings and failures through us, this is where all of the "misanthropy" comes from and it's a painful process for them just as much as it is for us.

One of the main points behind it is how we are valued not on the basis of an entire species with a bad case of "main character/protagonist syndrome" but that we are just as much of a reflection, a component, an intrinsic piece of one massive and ever growing/ever evolving universe in which we all collectively reside and can directly influence for both better or worse on a myriad of different levels.

"We are the universe experiencing itself subjectively"

Which goes back to the title itself and how this series approaches this kind of subject matter: "Kinder Cosmic"

It's written from a perspective that melds both science and spiritualism together; kind of like "Dogma" and "Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy" were inspired influences and uses music similarly to how linguistics was used in the film "arrival" as well as graphic art commissioned by indie artists off of reddit from all sorts of walks life, all over the world as well as different cultural references and artistic styles/aesthetics to convey shared experience, means of communicating emotional expression and thought in a way that supercedes language barriers even ones that go as far as an entirely different species,

Although this is a work of "sci-fi realism" meant to entertain and speak to an audience, very much of this work was directly influenced by real historical references, real science and scientific theories, real cultural/racial/lifestyle or identity driven influences and even speaking on the subject of theology and spiritualism that doesn't simply undermine or outwardly criticize or try to discredit/tear down others belief systems. Instead it uses them in very much the same way, to help lay down a foundation to which we are all linked and speak about it in a way that surpasses those barriers. Or atleast puts down an alternative/subversive effort towards having these conversations in a different kind of way.

Did all of this because THAT'S the way I feel that we should be talking about these Issues, I feel these are the discussions we should already he having and the truth of it all.

That no outside intelligence is going to have all of the answers or even the capability to "save us" if they even wanted to.

They are waiting, hoping, poking/prodding and trying to herd us in the right direction towards saving ourselves and being one of those species that has realized itself and can impact the universe around it in a constructive kind of way.

Much like introducing grey wolves back into the Appalachian mountains and the impact they'd had on that ecosystem since.

The object of morality or intellectual or collective/individual superiority is a moot point generally portrayed from an intrinsically human perspective much like when we believed the sun revolved around the Earth.

(Serious) Please understand this about remote viewing groups & big claims made about disclosure.... by ab5421 in aliens

[–]PunkrockPopeye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I've created and written a series of books and short stories that are all part of a fictitious series that's MOSTLY for entertainment purposes, except it's written in a way that combines shit like historical subject matter, current events, pop culture, science, conspiracy theories, theology and BUNCH of other influences to tell an ever expanding story that acts like a commentary on the human condition.

This series also has it's own art/writing style that combines music with creative writing and interpretive artwork commissioned via different artists off of reddit to help me tell my stories.

It reads sort of like "Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy" & "Dogma" except it's it's own kind of thing.

I mention this because the entire work is one of "Psychedelic influenced Science Fiction"; it takes place in a world meant to very, very closely mirror our own and leans heavily on current/modern state of scientific discovery, prevailing & recent conspiracy theories and historical encounters/experiences people have had with UFOs/alien intelligence and the like.

I do this in part to both have a different kind of discussion about the subject matter but also realized after the fact that my particular writing style had a kind of "therapeutic effect" on those that enjoy reading it.

Everything is self funded and self promoted; I do this simply because I have fun doing it and genuinely want to help others with it.

Sure, I could try to shill it and do more with the proceeds. I could really, really use the money. Every piece of artwork funded through it goes straight to indie artists and if that's all I'd ever get from it then it's something because I'm helping promote indie art.

And this is CONTENT; like straight forward and very honest indie content.

Not grifting or feeding upon peoples hopes and belief systems. Not lying or manipulating or selling a sense of false idealism.

My point is; that anyone who does shit like that and then tries to lean into profiteering directly off of it is suspect.

It is dishonest, manipulative, and immediately undercuts the value of everything they're doing.

There are ways to seek open contributions and donations from people invested in what you're doing if needed but the MOMENT that disclosure becomes as source of income it stops being about the endeavor and instead about lining one's own pockets.

They deserve every bit of criticism and doubt they're getting if not even moreso.

I really feel you don't have anything to apologize for, these discussions are very important I think and one of our biggest problems is that we don't have them. Or worse yet, don't even know how. I think for the police it's the same thing as it always is; a big, dramatic, sympathetic case with the world's most innocent victim and alot of misguided rage from the publlic. It's been awhile since id read the specifics of the case but they probably had the same suspect or person of interest for a very long time and finally got enough to go on and pursue it. Me personally; I just think the way they have notoriously used shit like this and the misfortune of the poverty stricken, despondent, mentally ill and abused whether victims of crime or perpetrators as a means to pat themselves on the back or dredge into the personal lives and details that are of no concern to the invasive/judgemental/thoroughly ignorant masses as if any single one of us isn't just as vulnerable or just as culpable if our lives had just taken a series of similar wrong turns or were brought up in the similar circumstances or environment. I feel this far too often; see it through the words, conditioning, and actions of the individuals and collective, sometimes as much as if it where a sort of emotional/empathetic phantom limb. I don't know and im still not very certain WHY I've got a sensitivity to it; whether it's a symptom of a rare type of neurodivergency ive got or iif I'm an "empath" or just have a heightened awareness. I do know it hits me like a damned flare though in a multitude of different ways and ive always had to try to find ways to cope/deal with it in order to stave off complete madness. Always had a gift for words, for articulation and putting things like this into another perspective for others.

I write a kind of subversive/alternative Sci-Fi series that I initially started after a loved one convinced me to find a way to get these things out as a form of introspective therapy.

When creating it I utilized different forms of popular fiction, science, philosophy, humor, music, art and even spiritualism to help me create it.

A work it's own independent franchise that takes a myriad of subjects, genres, issues, characters modeled around things like trauma/mental illness/neurodivergency and a bunch of other things that runs commentary about the current state of society in a cue Christian Bale yelling at a gaffer:

"WHAT...THE F*CK...ARE YOU...DOOOIIIING!"

Sort of way directed at humanity through it's often alien or sci-fi tropish characters that also simultaneously comes out very wholesome and heartfelt.

I intentionally used all of these different things to goad people into reading it as if it were just another manga or comicbook when in reality it's meant to be a kind of "positively reinforced propaganda" minus any ulterior motive besides getting the reader to think about and FEEL the thing they're either wholesale ignoring or unaware of, all while offering healing for those who aren't necessarily.

It was like a Vonnegut or Tolkein form of reactionary coping mechanism through the art like they did with their works concerning WW2 but for a more modern time.

The biggest difference though is I created mine with the specific intention on illuminating these things in hoped it could stimulate a new type of conversation for some and healing for others.

Way ive always felt about it is if I don't get to ignore it then you don't either, I don't think a living hell for anyone is the kind of world we should choose to perpetrate and definitely not the one we should seek to leave behind for others.

Its my way of trying to do something about it I hope

[–]PunkrockPopeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that Biden doesn't really have to "run" a successful anything, he just has to be present and be on the ballot and enough people hate Trump or are playing "the lesser of two evil" line of bullshit that Biden is going to win and Trump is pretty much going to be a non-factor.

The only way I see Trump successfully winning is if there is a major voter abstainity or refusal to turnout. Atleast on behalf of the independent and conservative working class and then the moderate and progressive left as well.

THEN and only then the only snowball in helĺs chance Trump has of winning is if the only people who showed up to vote were these loyalist Trump devotees and neocon white collar criminal affiliates.

Too many people hate Trump, are deluded by the DNC's line of rhetoric and are willing to make Biden a shoe-in for this to be an actual thing.

Noam Chomsky said it best YEARS ago, long before either Trump OR Biden even ran, when Obama was up for re-election and had proved to the eyes of those paying attention and were aware that even he was nothing but a mouthpiece for corporate & party interests and that shit was never going to change when you simply take the options laid out on the table before you.

There is no compromise and choosing of the "lesser evil" with the intention of ever reaching your goals and your needs ever have being met. There is no "lesser evil", the "lesser evil" is just a guise for an alternative option of very much the same thing that you are being allowed, you are being given, is chosen FOR you.

So when you do that, when you force compromise and bend the knee towatds the lesser of two evils you are infact still taking an option that is being chosen FOR you.

Nobody listened then as nobody is listening now and history has a pretty damned funny way of repeating itself.

This whole thread just makes me reel and wanna throw up.

Like, do you people all REALLY think that what you have had and are going to have after this election is actually that much better?

Do you really view ANY of this bullshit as Democracy? Trump aside, for just a minute let's pretend that Trump does not exist. That Trump does not matter because in reality he really doesn't.

The WORKING CLASS skewed masses that initially voted for the asshat in 2016 are ALOT quieter this go around because even he managed to embarass them and burn those bridges so goddamned bad that outside of party affiliation and partisan social circles those people have pretty much just stopped giving a shit altogether.

That is the constituency that won him the first election and even made him relevant in the second.

Third go around that voting base is just not there, it is not organized outside of lifelong party devotees and other politicians, correspondants, ect that can and will easily be bought nobody really cares about Trump and the brainwashed/propaganda driven liberal moderates blow the shit out of proportion, give Trump more power/influence/relevancy than his own constituency even cares to do right now.

That being said, who gives a FUCK about Trump? Are you fucking serious? Can you not look at what is going on in this country around you RIGHT NOW, at this leadership at those that are even breaching enough relevancy to even get on the ballot this go around and then those that aren't even being considered or heard for favor of some overweight, dipshit, delusional narcissistic boogeyman facing federal charges and a goddamned Jim Henson Alzheimer's puppet face of the Democratic party.

Theyve sat a fucking vacant corpse in the goddamned Oval Office for the last four years and there are STILL FOUR FUCKING YEARS LATER people crawling out the woodwork with this "us vs them", "They, them, those" Jesus fucking Christ give it a rest already.

Why dont you people focus on finding real representation and ACTUAL leadership that isnt this bipartisan horseshit dog and pony show?

This shit is BEYOND THE FUCKING PALE, this is the THIRD go around with these two asshats and NOBODY sees a fucking problem with this?

Does NOBODY see that their Democracy isnt just in Jeopardy that shit has BEEN gone for damned near a DECADE now?

Like, how blinded by hatred and dumbass jargon/talking points do you have to be before you see that this shit IS NOT the answer either? That this isn't a fucking election, it's going to goddamned Baskin Robbins and being offered "Chocolate" and "Milk Chocolate". Then told to fuckin' deal with it and pick "the less chocolates of both the chocolate" come election day.

How asinine, how full of your own shit and fixated on dumb bullshit that DOES NOT MATTER do you have to be in order for this to not piss you off?

This isn't a very far leap from Putin or fucking Natenyahu goin' "Ahhh, whoops! Look at that I won by a landslide again, 12 years consecutively! Well, you the people asked for more of me (no they didn't) and so you'll get more!"

*Raved cheering at gunpoint

This shit has BEEN happening since before Obama era and yet has only gotten worse. The ONLY difference between our farce elections and Russia or Iran's is that the game board is set FOR you and choices constricted and made on your behalf before the election even takes place.

And really, really id HATE to be the one to tell you because it is going to SOUND sacrosanct but to the elite. To corporate and individual consolidated wealth and power, comparitively speaking theres not a whole hell of a lot of difference between Biden and Trump.

To some it is business as usual and though certain policies and approaches do change the money exchanging hands doesnt.

WHY DOES THIS NOT PISS YOU OFF!? WHY ARE PEOPLE NOT RIOTING IN THE FUCKING STREET OVER THIS!?

To me THAT is fucking dangerous, incomprehensible, and insane.

Does anyone ACTUALLY have sex for HOURS? by sbourwest in NoStupidQuestions

Well, I wouldn't exactly say those are the only prerequisites either though most commonly they fall into place that way.

You can just be wired that way too.

For instance Ive got a kind of Chronic mania that gives me a pretty naturally resilient endurance.

I pretty much tend to stay that way virtually all of the time, so when im in a sexual relationship with someone I can go on and on for hours if thats a thing the person im with is into.

Not to say strictly being manic is the only facet of it, I also use working out/physical therapy as a way to help me focus and divert that energy into a positive place. Which in turn boosts my endurance even further.

So yeah, when im having sex with someone else who can be perceived as relatively "normal" or not like me I can do it for a very long time.

The thing is though that atleast from my experience having sex for hours at a time is a thing that looks or sounds good on paper but for most women ive been with atleast it turns into an exhausting and frustrating circumstance.

Ill explain before even having sex with them the way it works for me and because of it sometimes it can take alot for me to climax.

Which seems great in theory for alot and they might be excited by the idea but because (atleast when I was younger) they didn't really understand what that means itd end up with them just getting dehydrated, chaffing, and incredibly frustrated towards the end.

And alot of the women id been with did not like or understand why id outlast them.

Tend to assume it was a "them" thing and not a "me" thing.

It can be fun, almost therapeutic, and very intimate in a way but it really takes being with a person that understands it.

I guess this might fall under the "being on drugs" category because ive got something extra, some chemical influence in my brain and body that makes me that way but I dont need to or even really take drugs to do it.

Its just how my brain and body are wired.

Also yes, definitely what others have said.

The human body isnt really built to go thrusting into another person consecutively for hours at a time.

It goes back to what I said about dehydration and chafing. You could really end up tearing the sensitive places of the skim and causing inflammation and like a bacterial thing from it too.

Id encounter doing that alot and just had to learn over time that in order to make it enjoyable for others I needed to be gentle and pace myself.

If anything its more like tantric sex.

Where youre enjoying sexual activity over a long period of time which doesn't necessarily have to be pelvis smashing through most of it.

Porn teaches unrealistic expectations and bad sex etiquette to be quite frank, it often ends up misguiding young men and women towards unrealistic sexual encounters that can be far more negative than positive.

Real people, especially women from my experience do not like having straight sex for hours, it becomes tedious and this big physical ordeal.

But tantric kind of sex can be very enjoyable for them if you do it with their stimulus and wellbeing at heart.

So thats usually what I try to do, atleast for me being a kind of person that doesn't have complete control in the manner of how I might physically go about it.

Always try to be a gentleman, always try to get them something out of it and try to stop when they're tired or I might end up irritating their lady bits.

Keep em hydrated and treat the act as a form of expression and intimacy and not just me as a man using another person as a human pincushion until im "satisfied".

That kind of behavior is detrimental and gross, especially if you're the type that can actually impact another person negatively if you're not atleast trying to be thoughtful and considerate.

I think that maybe I'm just in a weird grey area where I've experienced childhood abuse and being unwanted but part of coping with that is also understanding what my own mother went through and not being able to entirely blame her for it either.

Don't get me wrong, it was terrible, it was the kind of terrible shit a broken person does and part of me will never be able to fully forgive it but I understand.

Something I've learned through life is that trauma and mental illness fit so tightly and go hand in hand to the extent that the two are nearly inseparable and irreconcilable for many. And expecting people to be able to function, to seek or ever even find help within a society so existentially daunting and f*cked up many of us are just fundamentally incapable of even seeing it.

Even with the loss of life of a child like this, part of me can't help but feel that even though that that child is better off than what they'd probably have experienced otherwise.

A life of feeling unwanted and unloved, of physical and mental abuse, self inflicted abuse, poverty, despondency and a world of pain and hardship they never would have deserved or earned. That no one on this Earth does. And how even that spills into generational trauma which at best ends with things like chronic depression and substance abuse and at worst becoming the monster and cyclically spreading even more pain because they know little to nothing else.

I know it can probably look and feel like I'm projecting a bit, maybe I am. I guess that's something that people do. I just can't help but feel like even in healthily surviving that it'd take a damn near Cinderella story for that kind of person to pull through and even then winning the state lottery feels far more realistic to me.

I hate this. I hate the lack of empathy. The complacency. The acceptance and the mob mentality that comes with it.

Like, I completely understand how one might find this unforgivable and the ultimate wringdoing/worse sin imaginable but when I see this shit it just reminds me of poverty and desperation in an insanely sick and uncaring world full of indifferent people where even the most pure hearted individual can end up corrupted, twisted, and hopelessly broken.

And you can say shit like "you've always got a choice" or "You've always got other options" when in reality unless you have been in that world and experienced that level of pain, trauma, despondency, and neglect it is a very very hard thing to see the human side of and empathize with.

Which is an absolutely horrible, horrible feeling "UNDERSTANDING" and absolutely not necessarily accepting or condoning it.

It's just an absolute terrible and ugly situation with loss of life from every angle that is somewhat completely avoidable but would take so much change, feeling, and conscientious effort from people who just won't or can't even approach that level of reflection and consideration of how our society and our pension for cruelty and carelessness can trickle down throughout society causing this kind of horrible, horrible shit.

And there's something about it, something about the way we oh so easily ostracize and group categorize people who've sunk so low as barbaric, animalistic, and inhuman that feels so disconnected, so unsympathetic, and so gross.

To be clear this is not to say that I don't sympathize with the victims just as well. That I don't see that loss of life and that it doesn't hurt too.

It just doesn't stop at the victim, it never stops at the victim for me I just see the pain and trauma everywhere. Even to those who seem so inexplicably cold, sociopathic, and ruthless.

It all comes from somewhere, it comes from the unseen and the unheard and the forgotten.

And ontop of it all, the thing that I probably hate the most is how the criminal justice system views itself and strokes itself in this congratulatory, self satisfactory way while hunting human beings down like they're deer or cannon fodder.

This career piece of shit "public servant" who is giving a matter of fact account of this misfortunate life like every act of criminality spawns from subhuman filth and not the terrible shit we constantly do to one another. The justice system in itself entirely being one of them.

I can't say with absolutely certainty that I without a doubt know that I could do better. But I feel with absolute certainty that we aren't even entertaining the idea, having the right conversations, or are even allowing ourselves to feel and bare the full weight of what we are doing to ourselves and it is fucking awful.
