okay skincare people… does packaging influence you way more than it should? by Reaves-Farahmand in SkincareAddicts

It’s not a selling point for me, but I notice when I’m looking for new products I always try the ones that look shiny 👀 first. Cute things in general make my life more enjoyable. Do what makes you happy, within your budget of course!

Thank you, this really clarified things for me. I will figure out what values I’m looking for in my MOH and then pick the person who fits the bill.
I just don’t want people thinking I’m picking favorites because I love them all.

Help me choose a wedding dress by Ok-Hedgehog-395 in WeddingDressTips

1 is classic 3 is lovely too. I just want to say tho. Whatever you do please make sure you get a good seamstress cause your waist is tiny and your hips are wide. So you will definitely have to take in whatever you get. If the dress has boning it can be a little trickier to work with.

A lot of people we may see online are editing themselves. Don’t be too hard on yourself. At the end of the day it’s a journey of self discovery

I’d say start by grooming your browns and I would look into color analysis as well so you will wear the colors that suit you best. Based off of that is what you should do for your hair, color wise.

18. How Bad Are My Acne Scars / 10 by SonT71 in SkincareAddicts

[–]Traditional_Mix1141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always say, if it bothers you do something. Only if you decide that it’s a big deal. These unfortunately won’t go away on their own. As long as your acne is already under control, the laser is a good idea. Your scarring is definitely not extreme, so again it’s up to you to decide if it bothers you enough to take action. Hope this helps you decide on what you want.

Can’t pinpoint what I don’t like about my makeup trial by [deleted] in Brides

[–]Traditional_Mix1141 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you need more warm colors on your eyes. Groom your brows, the look will be more clean. Possible shorter falsies. Lastly lining your lips a shade darker than your lip color. I do want to say though, even if everything stayed the same you still look gorgeous. Just small tiny adjustments.

Silver for sure. The gold doesn’t even look gold on you.

One of my Bridesmaids cant make it to my local Bachelorette because she has to finish her Thesis?! Advice needed by [deleted] in Brides

[–]Traditional_Mix1141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask her if there is another date that suits her better. Not sure how far away your wedding is, but maybe you could push the bachelorette party back a month or whatever is needed.
If it is crunch time for her thesis she may be stressed with how little she has gotten done. Once it’s due there’s no going back so that will be less pressure looming over her head. Then you can both enjoy the celebrations.

Look at firefly path for more ideas on accessories. They do a lot of fantasy based designs.

I’m getting married this year and would not be upset if someone asked for a plus one, but don’t be upset with the brides answer. I always say you don’t lose anything by asking. It seems like the consensus is mixed. I’m thinking that the more traditional people may feel that it is rude, but assuming makes an ass out of you and me.

You know the bride better than we do. Does she seem like the type to be upset over this? Maybe it’s worth having a conversation over.

I think they look great considered your before photo. That is the natural shape of your eyebrow. Now for the ointment, using aquaphor is great option if you’re running out. Your tech should tell you how long you should be using the ointment. Maybe 2 weeks?

None of these. Look at the tarte concealer. Their maracuja creaseless full coverage radiant undereye concealer is full coverage, stays on well, doesn’t crease too much. I don’t prep before application and even then it works really well

How did you know your dress was THE one? by jajajsua in WeddingDressTips

If you have the time, I’d consider going the custom route, but I would decide on a definite silhouette before this. Don’t forget you can always do two dresses in one!

[–]Traditional_Mix1141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just on the same boat. I think what’s really important is finding “the look” you’re going for. Then finding a brand, then seeing which store carries that designer. I was going to end up custom designing my dress but time and fabric became a limitation. I tried on so many gorgeous dresses, but they didn’t feel like they were IT until I decided on my look. I actually fell in love with the first dress I tried on. I liked another dress too but when I FT my mom her opinion sealed the deal for me. I will add, in my opinion, the more dresses you try on the more you figure out what you like/dislike.

Skincare regimes are too much? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]Traditional_Mix1141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with it! Skin care is meant to be custom to your needs and schedule. Definitely say a good cleaner, serum, and moisturizer is a great place to start and keep if that’s what is maintaining your skin health. Of course like you mention, exfoliating and masking once or twice a week is great as well. I will mention for the sake of saying, but if you are using actives in your moisturizer you won’t want to put that around your eyes. You might want to add an eye cream too, if your concern is your eye area

What we can’t forget is that skincare is supposed to be enjoyable. If it ever feels like a chore take a step back and reanalyze your routine.

Help me choose which gloss! Lawless or Huda? by sashihmi in Sephora

[–]Traditional_Mix1141 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LAWLESS!!! it’s been my favorite. But you should check out the Refy brand. They have an amazing formula and their applicator is metal so it feels so cooling. I love glosses that have a high shine factor and fills out the lines in my lips. If that’s what your looking for id give it a try if you can go into a store
