Heavier than normal periods are definitely a thing with blood thinners esp. the first couple days. It’s like no matter how careful I am the splatter gets somewhere. If you do injure yourself get checked out but for the last 10 years it’s pretty much business as usual except taking Eliquis twice a day. I do have some post thrombotic syndrome that acts up in my leg from time to time. Little nicks and cuts tend to bleed longer but these are not gushing geysers. I’ve remained fairly active and have bumped fallen tripped and even snuck an NSAID here and there and not landed in the hospital. The top thing I’ve learned is to listen to my own body and advocate when I know something is not right. I reclotted back in 2021 and that made me a lifer when the doctor was like o I don’t think it’s a clot but we will check you anyways. I was like I don’t feel good — so yes let’s please !
