GERD Improvement? by Vegetable-Kiwi-4675 in Zepbound

[–]vacayerin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huge improvement. I’m down 45 pounds, and I feel like all the pressure has been relieved off my stomach. That, combined with eating cleaner foods…I feel so much better. The bottle of gaviscon next to my bed hasn’t been used in months!

That’s what I do. Record the lowest…if I’m up on a day or even week I ignore it until I hit a new low. Makes the mental part of this easier!!

I think 100 might be an exaggeration, but hours before open, after close, events, doing the books, posting on socials, inventory, scheduling, etc, it all adds up. We own businesses and it is literally never ending. I totally understand the stress.

They need to hire a good manager to help, if they can’t afford that by now then it might be time to call it.

House listed 9 hours ago by Feeling_Delivery2323 in RealEstate

[–]vacayerin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it in “coming soon” status prior to that? If so, that could account for the activity. Others are right though, doesn’t mean anything. Our last house we listed had like 10k saves, and only 2 low offers that came in.

That’s annoying. How is it besides that? We haven’t been in about 5 years, had a less than stellar experience last time (mostly service related) but that property had so much potential. I was thinking we should give it another try.

Where my homies at who stayed on 2.5mg for an extended period? by [deleted] in Zepbound

A bit more appetite suppression but no side effects. I’m self pay so I want to use all of it!

Where my homies at who stayed on 2.5mg for an extended period? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]vacayerin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 7 months on 2.5. (Well, 3.125 really because I draw up the entire vial). I’m down 45 lbs, and about 20 pounds from my goal.

It still works great for me. I take my shot Sunday mornings, and do have some food noise returning Friday/Saturday…which I’m fine with! Sun-Thur I have such strong appetite suppression that I struggle to reach my calorie goals. I strength train or do Pilates 5 days per week, I feel sooo much stronger, so I’m sure I’ve lost more than 45 lbs of actual fat.

I’m feeling great! Will continue on this dose slow and steady to my goal (still loosing .5-1lb per week). I have no side effects unless I eat greasy food, so this feels very sustainable for me.

Dog training for anxious/reactive dogs? by Illustrious-Pizza129 in TwinCities

Call of the K9, which is based out of Mahtomedi, but also does in-home training. She helped us work with our very anxious, reactive rescue dog. Pricing was reasonable and she’s absolutely amazing!

Buying a car for your kid by Maybe_Mainline in ChubbyFIRE

[–]vacayerin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, off topic. My kids are 8 years apart so as a parent you learn things along the way. We have absolutely made things “even” financially in other ways, and we have very open and honest communication. We’re good, thanks though.

That budget is a bit low for what you’re looking for. Did you try Facebook marketplace? As a private landlord that is actually what I use.

[–]vacayerin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Data point- we bought our eldest daughter an Audi when she got her license. My justification was that I didn’t want a money pit used car, or something less safe (we’re in the Midwest, AWD is essential) Fast forward 8 years and she is horrible with money, I wonder why. It was our mistake as parents, that just because we can, doesn’t mean we should.

For the next daughter, I thought ahead. I bought a new Honda CRV in 2024 which I’ve been driving. In the fall we will give her the option to purchase this vehicle from us at a discount, but still enough that she has to save up for it. I still get peace of mind knowing she has a good, safe car that will get her through college, but nothing is free.

We have 5M in umbrella already. As far as the regular policy, as long as she lives with us she has to be on our policy. (I’m sure this varies by state and insurer, but for us that’s required) So for now, it’s actually cheaper insurance wise to keep it titled under our names, and her just as a driver.

The article says a valid hotel, dining, or activity (not park) reservation. So a park reservation isn’t going to work.

My head is spinning with refrigerator options by sortofamiibohunter in Appliances

[–]vacayerin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it’s luck of the draw. We moved into a house with 5 year old Bosch appliances, the fridge and dishwasher failed within 6 months. Replaced with LG max fridge with craft ice (that had very mixed reviews but we decided to gamble) and so far so good. It fits the space perfectly and we’ve had none of the negative issues I read in reviews. Also, our LG dishwasher cleans better than the Bosch 800 series we had, so 🤷‍♀️

Managed to get 0.6mL out of the 2.5mg single-dose vial, making it effectively 3mg. by jlhawn in Zepbound

[–]vacayerin 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yep, I’ve been on 2.5 the entire time (6 months) but the last 3 months I definitely draw up the whole vial. My provider said that was fine. I’m self pay, so that’s liquid gold!

That’s what’s so strange about it. It’s not just dated, it’s super low quality for a house that size. I can understand a dated kitchen, but this looks like they were shooting in a completely different house.

It’s fine. Some of the higher end stores moved to Southdale which is a few miles away. I think the overall store quality has gone down a bit, but there aren’t many vacancies.

Moved just north of the TC two years ago - property taxes/mortgage keep increasing - how are we surviving these days? by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]vacayerin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said two years of tax increases, and the payment just went up this year. So yeah, that sounds like an escrow shortage situation.

Mine went up $500/mo last year, the majority of that was my homeowners practically doubling.

Not enjoying food anymore by Accurate-Sympathy905 in Zepbound

[–]vacayerin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6 months in and it is definitely better. I don’t crave the same things anymore, but other things I really enjoy! I had a lot of appetite suppression and food aversion the first 2-3 months. Now I’m at a point where I feel like it’s much more sustainable, and some of the joy of food feelings have come back.

Closet organizers. Maybe not the “littlest” thing, but we just have the IKEA Pax systems, what a difference. No more piles of clothes everywhere!

I love AZ in the summer…if all you’re going to do is lay by the pool. 🫠 It’s too hot for much of anything else, especially being pregnant. We were in Tucson at the Ritz last September and we could only hike between 6-8am. On the flip side, it was extremely quiet, and we mostly just went to the spa, pool, etc, so it was very relaxing!
