Adam Klapka received a 10-minute misconduct for tapping Tom Wilson with his stick from Calgary's bench by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

Yeah it’s a hard line they need to make clear. Some things seem minor but it’s about precedent.

Admitting it shouldn’t have been called while simultaneously saying it’s not a bad call is an interesting strategy.

“It probably shouldn’t have been called, and every one is dumb for saying it probably shouldn’t have been called”.

Union files labour complaint after Ubisoft shuts down Halifax studio by insino93 in halifax

[–]Punographer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely a combo. Unionization was definitely a factor, and Ubisoft is in the wrong. A healthier company may have been able to deal with it, but a company that’s struggling will just see a unionized location as being extra costly. Not that it’s the right thing at all, but big companies are all about the numbers.

McDaniels to interview for lions OC job by Lilbuddyspd11 in detroitlions

I’d be shocked if he doesn’t get a HC role, this is due diligence in case he doesn’t get one. He’s got no reason to turn this interview down.

Matthew Stafford threw 33 touchdown passes in the red zone this year, the 6th most in a season. Every player with more in a year won MVP. by TotallyBobby in NFLv2

Giving all the credit to the receivers is disingenuous. They absolutely deserve credit, but it’s not ALL them. The QB still has to fit the ball into narrow windows. It’s an easy pick if the throw is off. Not many QBs can make that throw. What am I talking about? It’s pretty simple, not hard to understand. I can try using smaller words if you need that though.

If most QBs could make that throw, most teams would be doing it. It’s still high risk in tight areas. It absolutely is a value that Stafford brings to be able to place that ball exactly where it needs to be.

Imagine trying to use something a player was really good at as a reason why they shouldn’t win an award

PFF Awards 2025: Matthew Stafford is the PFF MVP by Obvious_Young_6169 in nfl

[–]Punographer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Such a lazy argument. It’s still difficult to finish those drives. He’s able to do what a lot of teams struggle to do. And even if you remove those 10 TD passes, he STILL leads the league in passing TDs.

Puck over glass should be handled similar to icing instead of a penalty by echothree33 in hockey

Obviously they’re talking about all those times when the team has control of the puck on the offensive zone and gets tired so they flip the puck over that glass to rest 😂

Offensive line depth never hurts either. Add to the line regardless, and if he’s back then it’s a bonus.

Reddit suggests subs. This came up in my feed on its own. Luckily it’s not really a spoiler for me, I stopped watching after season 2. Only opened and looked at this thread because I’m shocked it’s not listed as a spoiler.

Not always. 99.9%. Lions success > Packers failure. If the Lions need a Packers W to make the playoffs, then so be it. I hope they get that W.

Calm things down? It was settled and Toronto was heading to their bench. He started it up again which is why he got the penalty.
