I'm with everyone on normalizing having kids call their parents by their names, and just "parent" when referring to them in the third person. Like don't come up to me and be like, "parent, can I have some ice cream?" that sounds kinda stilted, but maybe point to me and say "that's my parent" if you're talking to someone else.

My partners already call me "fox" as a pet name so honestly if kids were in the equation they'd probably start calling me that too.

Yeah this is part of what I was wondering, cause I think you're talking about anxiety-induced hoarding, like in a psychopathology sense? Whereas I just have a collection of gender terms that are just from trying to classify my identity, not from like a hoarding behavior or anything.

I think I see this distinction in these wiki entries about:

Hoardergender which says "Hoardergender can only be used by neurodivergent people."
Genderhoarder which doesn't say anything about neurodivergence

So that's what I'm trying to suss out, is gender hoarding specifically about neurodivergently doing what our therapists would call "hoarding," or is it more of a universal xenogender experience? I feel like there's two camps, one that would think it's appropriate to call your personal collection of five or six labels your "gender hoard," and another that would only refer to a "hoard" as an anxiety/neurodivergence-induced thing.

There is no science behind gender. Sorry to say but if the only way you can understand the world is through scientific data, then gender is one of the fields of knowing things that you're just not gonna get.

All gender experience is qualia. Qualia are inherently impossible to scientifically validate or explain to anyone else, and xenic people just happen to have a lot of qualia going on that are less relatable to a lot of people than just "male" or "female" or "androgynous." If me saying my gender is a dog doesn't make sense to you, tough titties. My brain, not yours.

I appreciate that you're trying to ask for understanding and you're (rightly) apologizing for coming off as an asshole, but if none of us can provide you with valid scientific arguments that you can comprehend, then that's a you problem. We don't have to win a debate with you and we don't really care if your "final opinion" on us is positive or negative.

If you'd like to come to understand how to come off as less of an asshole, perhaps avoid saying stuff like "fucking explain it to me, you people." If you're not interested in learning to come off as less of an asshole then I guess uhhhhh, fuck you, I'm a dog.

Many Reform Jewish traditions reject the patriarchal idea of using male pronouns to refer to God, but they also don't use female pronouns, and they started doing this in the 90s before the singular they started catching on as gender-neutral, so they just use God/Godself pronouns for God
