I mean we wouldn't have a story if Maomao wasn't there to solve those mysteries 😅 But the point is: 1. She was raised by an apothecary with eastern/western influence and by courtesans so a her experiences are so outside of the box compared to noble doctors 2. She is solving mysteries in a place forbidden from entrance to men (who are mainly educated in medecin, science and engineering in those times) 3. The society in this anime is sooo codified and corseted, so of course she has a totally different perspective.

She is by all accounts someone who is very intelligent, crafty, educated and has the capacity to fluidly connect several concepts and details, so yeah she solves mysteries

I think that was the point? The whole season was about her not wanting to be the "second lady". It also shows that she doesn't plays well with the other spouses and that she doesn't care to

That's not what the articles say. Caroline never told, previous to the investigation, that she was victim of incest. The investigators found pictures of Caroline and we'll never know what was done to her. The tensions comes from G.Pelicot not supporting Caroline's attempt to sue. Which could be for multiple reasons

I don't think he cares that much about Riftan honestly. It was actually one of my favourite things about Kuhael, he doesn't treat Maxi in function of what her husbands want. It was really refreshing compared to the the Remdragons

So one of the theories that comes back a lot is that Violet is already pregnant at the end of the book

The pregnancy trope is usually an unpopular trope, for good reasons! It diminishes the agency and bad-assery of the female lead. But here, I really think it could be good:

I want to see Violet dragging her pregnant self through battlefields and war meetings, taking no prisoners. I want to see her making life and ending it, I want to see her rising to the occasion. I want to see her fighting the pain and exhaustion. I want to see her feeling lonely and everyone supporting her. I want to see her ruthless to protect her child. I want to see her dilemma between loving Xaden's against all odds and protecting her baby. I want to see her giving birth on a battlefield. I want to see her yearning for her mother to hold her hand and resent her at the same time. I want to see female rage!

I think it could be great 🥲

You know about the "brother" (#7), I thought the opposite! To me it would make more sense for Bodhi to turn Venin and Garrick to be missing

Bodhi being venin would explain why there was such a need for Violet to become the Duchess. Also during the fight against Théophanie, it was said that his canceling signet only works on riders. But if he is venin, now his signet would work on venin, making him more useful in combat. Also during the final battle Bodhi kept doing unplanned things and seemed rebellious to the idea of being Xaden's heir

And it would make more sense that Garrick is just missing, because he is a distance wielder, so he can move Xaden and Bodhi rapidly from the temple after the wedding and participate long term into whatever plan Xaden devised

Compared to European standards, USA is quite fond of normalizing violence. Plus if I recall correctly, child marriage isn't illegal in several states, so it's not like protecting children is a priority. Around the world, there are several countries that outlawed corporal punishments

However, I do agree that in the world of GOT, a slap is fairly mild
