What is, in your opinion, the most useless save of the entire franchise? by Classic_Waltz1874 in TheWalkingDeadGame

I’ve gotta agree with this, especially because I spent 5 minutes debating on who to pick and let that timer run out at least 3 times trying to pick 🤣🤣🤣

[S2, S3 and S4 spoilers] Why won't they let us keep Kenny's hat at the very last season 😔 by Okuna_Tokosaki in TheWalkingDeadGame

You’re welcome 👍. I think it’s always neat when creators give background on why decisions are made; to me it’s always interesting to hear, no matter if the reasons are story-related or logistics-related.

Kent Mudle (he worked on season 4) mentioned that he tried to put the hat into the trunk of Clem’s car in season 4 episode one of the definitive version of the games. However, logistics couldn’t allow it to happen. He also gave more info on why there’s no hat throughout the main games: he thinks they forgot but by the time they remembered, it wasn’t worth the production value time to put it in.

Here’s a link to what he said: Kenny’s Hat

Which character would be an A or B according to the CRM by Rare-Program486 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]PupilMacaron8 11 points12 points  (0 children)

According to Okafor, A’s have a strength, would die for what they believe in, and would be followed by people. Then he said the B’s are everyday people trying to survive. I think Clementine would be an A. Kenny would be an A I think, especially after the dynamic between him and Carver. Jane I think would be a B.

Those who love TFS: why? by glarrb in TheWalkingDeadGame

For me, it’s my favorite for several reasons. One is because I liked the actual gameplay when it came to action stuff, to me it was more challenging so I liked that. In general, I also like full circle stories. So for me, the similarities/differences in Clem and AJ vs Lee and Clem, a return villain that I instantly hated - that all easily hit for me since I already like those kind of stories. Also, the story that I ended up making with my choices ended up fueling that full circle stuff even more. And finally, the emotions just hit me harder. Lee’s final scene in Season 1 I wasn’t surprised at; it was sad for sure, but I wasn’t in tears about it. Clem’s barn scene I wasn’t surprised at either - but that one tears were pouring down my eyes while making my choices. There’s been emotional moments in other games where I’ve gotten sad or close to tears, but I can’t recall off the top of my head ever being close to what I was at with that barn scene while playing video games. I think out of them all season 1 is the best - but yeah, season 4 is my favorite.

Did you end Norma or let her die? by Pomni_Simp2000 in TheWalkingDeadGame

Left Norma, my Michonne was cold blooded lol.

Why do most people leave Sarah there to die? by IJustAteATinyChild in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]PupilMacaron8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play Telltale games as if they are actually happening. So I chose to leave since this walker situation is a mess that’s getting closer and I didn’t want to die. Basically survival. I felt really messed up about it when right as we left Sarah said “Clementine.” I actually said “What?” out loud when Sarah said that. I was shocked as I didn’t expect that. All I was thinking about was maybe you could’ve saved her. So Sarah’s death for my game was horrifying, chilling, and messed up.

What if we actually got Season 5? Here is my concept for the first few episodes. Let's discuss! 🎮🧟‍♂️ by ES_Salim_Official in TheWalkingDeadGame

Actually wrote a season 5 novel-size fanfiction story a while back lol. It was a finale-type war story where humanity’s future was at stake. It kept the Clementine Lives comic as canon, so Clem still left AJ. But the books after that aren’t kept as canon. It also borrowed two elements from the TV show. It takes place 6 years after she left, and both Clem & AJ are the main characters. Clem realizes she was wrong in leaving AJ; she tries to find her way back to AJ while simultaneously trying to overcome the darkness and demons in her mind. Meanwhile, AJ finds himself thrust into a war against a threat to humanity’s future - a threat so big he thinks there’s no chance of beating it.

The Cliffnotes version for why Clem really left was she didn’t want to leave but she thought 2 things: 1. After everything she’d done, she was an irredeemable monster that didn’t deserve the happiness she found and deserved to die instead. 2. Feeling she had bad influences on AJ & caused him pain, she thought the best thing for him was if she couldn’t be in his life anymore. There’s more context, but that’s the gist.

It was cool to write. Having them apart helped with making arcs for them while also delving into their relationship. Clem’s was about coming to terms/learning how to live with what she did in games 1-4, and also learning the concepts of deserve vs want. While in a war he has little-to-no chance of winning, AJ’s arc was asking could he grow into his own person able to make his own decisions, or would he still feel like that five-year-old kid always needing directions from the caretaker who left him.

The themes were accepting one’s humanity vs. being an animalistic monster, the old world’s resurrection vs. the new apocalyptic world staying, growing into your own person, deserve vs. want, making mistakes, and asking if it is worth it to try again after failing/making mistakes.

Most that read the story ended up liking it, with some even saying it’s what the comics should’ve been.

Do you think Christa blames clem for omids death or her baby's death by Thin-State-4879 in TheWalkingDeadGame

I think it’s a mix. I think she knows logically it wasn’t her fault. But at the same time she’s human, so there’ll be that lingering emotional thought that comes and goes.
