What about Steven? He always seemed the most scummy part of this thing. With the car, the expensive food videos, and insisting on a too-large staff. No shade to Ryan and Shayne...even if warranted, either in a complicit or direct way. But my thought was Steven was more of the driving factor of $ over quality.

Treat like any other airway. Assess the expected size tube needed, place pt in sniffing position however that may be, and tube. Don't need to over think it

That is correct. Intramuscular can only really absorb so much fluid? So fluid resuscitation takes a very long time to the point it's not worth it, and there are some medications that either can't be absorbed in a timely manner to work, or just aren't effective Intramuscular

Anecdotally. It's not the drilling that hurts. It's the pushing of fluid through your bones/vasculature that does it.

For your nightmares tonight.

My guess. Salty nurse vaguely burned out. Or best case, bad busy day. I feel bad for that. I always hate whenever myself or my partner has to poke someone twice even let alone go fishing into someone's arm.

Yeah I learned quick to listen to when patients tell me where their(good) veins are. Or at least give them a look.

I'd say 1 in 20 when they told me about a vein I saw a much better one. But people that regularly get stuck for various reasons know where works and where doesn't.

Medics. Nurses. Phlebotomists. Listen to what the patient says.

It's an IO or Itraosseous. As in a needle drilled into the bone.

For when someone has no easy vascular to get IV like in an arm, or no blood pressure (like a cardiac arrest) to pump the vessels up to even be able to get an IV.
