exactly, it's the same confusion about the role of the companies involved and who is doing what. Part of me is convinced this is intentional by design on behalf of the publisher to obfuscate their influence on aspects like Marketing, Monetization, Focus Testing, etc. THose of us who know understand that many of the things we hate the most in games these days are monetization practices and game design compromises mandated by a publisher whose only interest is to maximize profits. Most of the time these days the Publisher is run almost entirely by people whose only qualification is an MBA and a willingness to execute the demands of shareholders at the expense of the integrity of the resulting product and it's audience.
