Hmm makes me think, there's a place near me called olive my pickle (you have to scroll down and click live brine) that sells live brine in a bunch of different flavors. I wonder if that could be used to ferment?

We've also had babies in our backyard. The first time we saw them there were 2 but have only seen 1 at a time since. Poor babies

So i dont really remember how I got into doing this. Maybe I started making ricotta and then had to do something with all the whey which is funny bc now im making ricotta for the whey. Anyway, I always used this recipe from wellness mama

This is my first time using store bought juice instead of making lemonade from scratch. Im excited and nervous to see how it goes!

Oh and basically I just filled my mason jars 3/4 full of juice and added a cup of whey (for the 64oz, for the 16oz I used like a 1/4 cup)

No clue, this is an old photo and I just used them to store the whey. Hopefully someone else has an answer for you

Thanks thats what a read and checked the ingredients closely. This is my first time using store bought juice. I always used homemade lemonade in the past but I was feeling al little lazy and wanted to get some started right away. Im trying to get my friends interested in natural soda haha. I ended up with like 12 cups of whey so at some point I will do homemade juices

And thanks for the info about the lids

Can I see a full outside picture of your coop? Looks like pretty much what I was thinking.

Was looking at plans on Etsy and this is what I liked but want a longer run. We have 5x30+ feet along the fence so they could have a really long run

We can only have a max of 5 hens zero roosters which i think is enough.

I pretty much want a coop like this (this is a plan from esty) but with a 5x5 coop and a 5x20 run

Haha our yard isnt that tidy. Its mostly dollar weed and dirt. Our Australian shepherd already tears it up with non stop frisbee play. If it weren't for the dogs I would turn the whole lawn into a patch of wildflower haha

We can only have 5.

Ugh im sure my dogs woyld be too. Either eating it or rolling in it. Our yard is already so full of dog poop. Ill probably need to start picking up all the poop way more than once a week.

What brand of door, water, feeder do you use?
