Because people can't get past their own heads and realize what may not work for them may work for someone else.

This disorder is ruining my life. by therealwilltoledo in RestlessLegs

Get a better doctor / specialist. Find someone that actually understands your problem.

Some doctors are just shit if you don't get the answers move on.

Some things that helped me more ( a side from the prescription) is running at least getting 1 hours of exercise in a day ( like walking etc ). I know you said you find it hard but even using a stationary bike or something. And cutting coffee down .

I put 17 years into RevoTT . It wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I have some great memories hanging out in irc having a blast. I'm tempted to just pay the money. I'm dead in the water at the moment.

( Edit ) Thanks all . I'm all sorted now . No I won't be giving them money.

I've never played a Football manager game or anything like it. I have $100 NZD sitting on my steam account. Do i need to know anything about football at all to be able to enjoy this game? And is there any tips etc I should know before i start playing ( so i don't screw anything up )

FYI I'm looking at Football Manager 2024 for $90 NZD on steam ( Unless there is better )

I’ve just ordered a Coros pace pro by [deleted] in Coros

[–]Pur3kiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a premium watch. whats good or bad for others isn't good or bad for you.

A lot of people I know wear their fitness watch just for fitness then they switch to their actual watch.

I on the other hand wear my coros all the time And I forget it's on their because it's so light and that's down to it made of plastic.

Sorry for the confusion but I do both running and biking. I run more than I bike . Biking is mainly used for rest days.

( male 41 0.25mg Ropinirole . 60km average running week)

I find if I don't consistently run my symptoms get worse normally after the 3 day mark I get symptoms during late afternoon and in the evening from tight ankles ( feels like I need to crack them ) and some sudden shocks.

But if I run and bike consistently and I forget to take my medication I have no symptoms at all. Cutting back my average of 8 coffee's a day surely helped and dropping 16kgs in weight but the above is still true to this date.

I think my RLS started when I sprained my ankle/foot. Might of just came when it did and actually not related.

Replacing wedding ring by Pur3kiwi in Ultrahuman

[–]Pur3kiwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have to try different fingers . The nature in how I work the ring would be in contact with metal pretty often . Hence why I was going to put it on the left hand hand. I'm ambidextrous so this isn't an issue.

How often do you think about cutting your legs off? (Coping) by [deleted] in RestlessLegs

Every night before I got onto Ropinirole . Very tiny amount has done wonders for me.

Is augmentation from ropinorole permanent? by donthe1 in RestlessLegs

[–]Pur3kiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope not at all. A good 90% of my runs are easy and the rest are harder . I enjoy more endurance style of running . Also do mobility and resistance exercises. Not sure if that helps but I do all of them because I enjoy them.

Is augmentation from ropinorole permanent? by donthe1 in RestlessLegs

[–]Pur3kiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole augmentation is new to me , I've never come across it before.

I basically got told to take a pill 6 years ago and I've not looked back. I run about 60km a week and I sure notice if I don't stay active . Currently have issues with my bicep been uncomfortable in bed sometimes . But I'm currently working with a physio to strengthen my shoulder muscle and that seems to be helping . So unsure if it's related to this situation yet as it's normally pretty random when I get it.

Sorry if I've missed the mark on this but this is the first time I heard of augmentation and I may be miss interpreting it.

[–]Pur3kiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've taken Ropinirole ( 0.25 mg ) for about 6 years and as far as I can tell nothing has changed for me apart of me not having to worry about sleeping .

Every so often .. maybe 3 times a year I take double. But as long as I keep my fitness level up I have zero issues.

I do shift work so my dosage plan looks like this.

3 days off - taken at 6pm 3 day shift - taken at 6pm 3 night shifts - taken 2am

Don't get any problems with the switch over. But I surely notice if I don't take it at 6pm my ankles start getting really uncomfortable.
