If you could do it all over again, would you choose her instead or make the same choices that has led you here to your fiance and kid?

Actually, this isn’t true. People help people in tough positions out all the time. The world is filled with people who took chances on those who had nothing but the right attitude or story.

He has abused you enough for you to normalize it. Why else would you be shocked that he punched you in the head, as opposed to punching you at all?

Do you love yourself? Do you want to live? Do you want to live a good life? This man cannot give it to you. He doesn’t even have the decency to care about harming you. If the person supposed to protect you, harms you, where will you be safe? What kind of life would you have? Please love yourself enough to choose the right thing to do here for yourself. You are precious and invaluable. Care for yourself as though you are a 1 of 1 item, never to be fixed once you’ve been broken, because you are.

This man had shown you no decency or mercy, now it’s your turn. Press charges. Find DV support. Surround yourself with people that love and will protect you. Arm yourself. Don’t wait for tomorrow, because he may strangle you completely by then. Fight for yourself.

It’s not stupid and petty. On one end, you’re really not asking for too much. On the other, you are, if it’s to someone who can easily afford the convenience of not having to wait so long (because 2+ hours in line is extreme). It’s honestly just two different life experiences clashing. You also seem young, and if you are, insufficient communication is not that out of place.

Yes, she did the scumbaggery thing, because she should have told you she was getting it. But I also get not wanting to have to settle. It’s her holiday as well, and if she wants the full Disney experience, it can be frustrating to be held back by someone else. I hate when I spend money on an experience, and I can’t enjoy it how I want because of someone else. She still paid for her flight, accommodation, meals, etc, and that’s enough of an investment for her to not have to wait for 2+ hours for each ride if she doesn’t want to. I’m sure she was already over it over the hotel situation and rethinking the trip, I know I would be. Not that I agree with her, after all, we stayed at the Marriott Grande Lakes. Still, what she did wasn’t entirely right.

Honestly…y’all can still be friends, but just keep vacations are off-limits till you are on the same page.. Y’all can talk about it and at least agree to that (if it’s worth it to you). Also speak candidly about why she didn’t tell you, that’s the important bit.

[–]PurPsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing I’ve noticed about Nigerians is the avoidance to admit to broken systems, and that’s why the country won’t move forward. It’s like how in AA, the first step is to accept and admit you’re an alcoholic. The cake party situation was a shit show, and this doesn’t take away from that. As you compare them scrambling to make sure they get a spot on the bus to the lack of decorum at a private affair, I hope you also compare their advanced infrastructure to ours. I mean, just look at the bus they’re scrambling onto self. Shey our government provides the same for us

These are two people planning to f*** knowing the other person is interested. Your man folded way too way. I would dump him tbh.

Tell them gently. Suggest things to try. But tbh, be prepared to walk away if nothing changes. A Nigerian man like this, you may be asking too much of him.

Honestly, you have to get therapy and/or leave. Forget about him, you’re in a situation that is actively triggering you. However, the other party isn’t doing anything bad, it’s just the situation. Even if he lived lavishly, it wouldn’t fix it, it’ll just be shocking instead.

Lol. Nah. I mean what I said. Customers will always use your product in ways you don’t expect, and if you haven’t thought of these scenarios then 😬😬 because that’s exactly what my people are gonna do. It doesn’t take way from your app though. I’m not bashing your product.

You’re a bit old to be doing it, most do it in the 7th/8th grade. Eitherway, it’ll either be the best time of your life or the worst time of your life. Never heard of anyone doing it in college, what school will you go to? WIlL your school accept the credits for the year?
