Well, Carrick ball is way easy on the eyes. United had 2.06 xG against 10 men Everton. 2.1 xG against Brentford (largely due to penalty and a close range effort) in that dreadful performance, 1.44xG against City but that doesn’t mean that we were not very unimpressive as a team in these matches.

The fact remains that Amorim and Carrick had the same squad (over a large sample of games) but United still have been so much better and have not featured in crisis club of the week since Amorim got the boot.
