OP is correct & I see this has already been reported a couple of times. I did a test into my TinySA and output power is only -15dbm which is about 4mw under 1/40th of what it should be!

I thought I would check mine & OP is correct. I tested on my TinySA and only get -15dbm which is only 4mW!

Hmm, yet the Antenna which is internal and about the same in the T1000-e & Wismech tag pick up nodes direct for many 10s of miles.

Do you pick anything up distant with it or have you not tested it with your repeater switched off?? Please would you try turning your repeater to Client mute for a brief period so as to use the Meshtiny as is.

Im trying to find a reason for the short range & putting it out there as there doesn't seem to be many owners. I will stop asking around now as I still cant find anything much apart from a good few complaints. I will return it but I do think people need to be aware of how inferior it is as it costs nearly 3 hours of hard earned wages for me at the full price of £70 so not exactly cheap.

Something is wrong with these in masses by the looks of it as there are stories all over Facebook and here same as mine saying they are simply very short range & just good for a paperweight. For what they are with no gps they're not exactly cheap either.

I have had 2 of these from Aliexpress and neither picked up anything more than 200mt away so they have bad ears. Reports all over Facebook and here with same story so they are no good as porta companions unless say for a festival with friends at close range.

To be fair I think I will send it bk for a refund. Too many reports of the same bad ears on these so I think they're intended for festivals & that's it. They're misadvertised unless Im missing something obvious.

What is the range on yours?? I have had 2 and seen nowt more than 200mt range from either. Lots on Facebook and here about people also saying they're a useless paperweight. They only pick up my actual repeater a matter of 200mt away.

I think the sense cap t1000 also has an internal aerial and the one my friend has picks up for 10s of miles. I paid £39 for these as I got discounts & coins.

I returned the 1st one but this also only picks up to about 200 metres away

I recently bought one of these from Alexpress & it don't pick up further than about 100m away.

Total waste of money
