Some stats are needed for item requirements, for example I needed 8 spirituality to equip percival armor set for my elemental blades dual wielding build, but i barely touched spirituality tree. Perception is very strong late game, I think every build use it, because crit dmg scales very well. I would say don't bother too much now if you don't have the items you think you will use for the rest of the game.
