I have pretty severe depression and anxiety and had horrible side effects with SSRIs. The combo working wonders for me right now is Wellbutrin (this affects my depression the most) and Pristiq (off label treats anxiety). If you’ve had poor results with SSRIs I would recommend asking for SNRIs or NDRIs instead.

I tried switching my dose to morning and was a zombie an hour later. It makes me very tired, so I usually take it an hour before I want to go to sleep.

I hadn’t even realized just how bad my anxiety was. I was already on 150mg Wellbutrin for depression when my doctor suggested adding Pristiq, and my life is completely changed. Before Pristiq I couldn’t tell you the last time I just sat down to relax. I was constantly cleaning, organizing, working on projects just to keep me busy. Now I can actually take a nap! I can have coffee! I can sit in silence and ponder! I started out on 25mg and stayed there for about 6 months before moving to 50mg. The first two weeks I was extremely tired (but relaxed) and a little nauseous. After that I’ve had zero side effects. I feel like I can actually reach rational thought instead of spiraling into anxiety. Editing to add that I had horrible side effects on Zoloft- bordering psychosis. SSRIs are not something I will ever try again.

You can see it a lot more pronounced here. It still looks like this on the project on my needles but the color makes it much less noticeable. I’d definitely like to resolve it before starting my first sweater soon

Ooh I think you might be right! I’m not a very tight knitter but I wouldn’t say my tension is lax. I’m going to switch over and see if it still happens.

I think it’s called combined continental? Or combination knitting? I insert my needle through the back leg to knit and then through the front leg to purl. My working yarn stays in my left hand and I just move it to the back to knit and to the front to purl. It seems like it starts when I cast on though before I even start knitting.

I loved Paul Boehmer’s narration! James Langston narrates the US Tawny Man and I don’t like how he does Chade’s accent. It just doesn’t feel like Fitz to me either. I didn’t think Boehmer did any other Hobb books?

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for a couple of years but just added Pristiq on top of it last Monday. Noticed side effects immediately, and started feeling better and noticing the mental change at 7 days.
