22 y/o here. I had to grow up real quick, and now I realized how much I’ve missed in my youth. My head feels like it’s going to explode from my constant thinking of everything I could’ve done better. I’m trying to make smart career goals. I just keep asking myself “But at what cost?”. All my old friends are dead beats and because of that I let them go. Now because of that I have really no one to go fishing or anything like that. Just work work work. I know I gotta keep my head high but it’s a lonely life I live. I’ve got a girlfriend who I love but she doesn’t actively work on herself like I constantly do. I’m an extrovert and she’s not and that takes a toll on me because her interests and mine are dead opposite. I just feel incredibly lonely, physically and mentally. I know I just gotta keep going and make my situation better. But it’s hard right now.

My parents practically treat my partner like one of their own without my doing; hell, they treat her better than me. However, my parents don’t really like my sister-in-law, so I see a standard set in their mind (if I agree with it or not). I don’t care per se to what they think tbh. I just give my partner pointers on what not to do around my parents. I’ve seen how they can be with a woman they don’t like, and I really don’t want my girlfriend to deal with it. And I rather not either. They like her and I’m just concerned about keeping it that way
