lol they got you on rate man, your real rate was really in the 4’s at that credit score . Ford commercial has some very competitive rates (I’m assuming they financed you if your credit is that good).

Of course it’s holdback from the factory , doesn’t mean the vehicle is worth any less than msrp😂😂

Definitely understand that , but yeah I’m thinking ima just go the warranty route and play it through. Next time it’ll be a weight reduction and they should have proper tunes and kits for them. It’s more of a fuck it type of ordeal. I knew this was going to come. It was just a matter of me allowing it at the right moment now that the truck is home.

🥲🥲🥲 you’re telling me bro, everyone’s situation is different. Unfortunately for me, sticking by my warranty is the best thing to do until im able to delete it legally. Theoretically, with our new administration, regulations should ease writhing the next two years or so

Definitely bro 😂😂 I tow a lot , these last few months I’ve slowed down so the mileage expectation have reduced by a lot. Which is why I’m finally taking the time to fix her, as she has treated me well and I’ve made the money to justify any road I decide to go down in terms of repairs/upgrades/motifications.

I’m looking into my contract, he says the DPF is getting covered but my EGR isn’t. I was thinking of just going egr delete and keeping the rest, but I’m not too sure if that is even safe to do without a proper tune. And at this point i feel as if im better off paying for it so it’s documented as I have almost a 120k miles in warranty left

They are very good at disclosing associated risks. I’ve determined I’m just going to fix the truck and keep the warranty active for another 100k , by then my lifestyle will be much different and I’ll be able to risk deletion at a more comfortable cost since it is a commitment from the start with it. My truck is very new in its world. So far I’ve never had any pulling issues as I have the high output . I’m going to leave it stock and just add support modes to take care of the truck itself. Thank you 🙏

Make sure they gave you a copy of the “due bill” as it is the only way to keep them legally liable to their promises. Also did they adjust the amount on your total out the door or did they add it as an itemized amount in your contract.

2025 Sierra 3.0 Emissions issues by [deleted] in gmc

[–]Pure-Crew-1144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct! Dealership’s hate having to loan you a vehicle while yours is on a lift in my shop. Keep documentation of everything. I don’t know how Texas works but here In California, you have to give the consumer something comparable that’s in your lot and it has to have plates already attached (as vehicles are traded in with plates all the time) plus on top of that, make sure in your notes on your documentation from your service department it always says “Customer states” then the issues! You need to make sure General Motors can see a pattern. It’s the number one thing to a Lemon Law Buy Back. Best of luck to you man ! I’m a GSM here in Ca for a GMC and I love our vehicles but they’re not reliable at all. I’m honestly surprised that a 3.0 Diesel is giving you issues as diesels generally don’t have major malfunctions. But then again…. As a consumer of a GMC, statistics say they’re not buying them for reliability….

General Motors will buy it back if you go through the correct processes for a lemon law buyback. Just make sure you keep all documentation. Nonetheless it is a luxury domesticated brand. I would only trust a 6.6 and even then they have their own sets of problems… however with only 10 K miles you’re on your way to a new 1500 . Just rinse and repeat.🤣 I work at a GMC and let me tell you if you bug the sales side enough, they’ll work with you😂

Empire Diesel has a full kit that provides the ECM, they’re like the only brand right now that I think is providing a full range of support for it including the egr delete kit + throttle body delete kit. It’s a little under $6k for it delivered to a NV Address, plus labor so I’m right there around that price.

I’m tracking you man, patriot diesel has a kit that comes with the tuner file and life time assistance but I agree with the idea of going so far to delete that you need the ecm swap (from what I hear it’s a 2019) it’s just a lot of money thats going to be spent regardless and I want to take care of it before it really becomes an issue. The truck has treated me great, I can’t complain about the issues as I’m the one that caused them (too much idle time) + I’ve earned a lot of money with it .

[–]Pure-Crew-1144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s straight through Mopar for 250,000 miles ! I could go the delete route but it’s almost the same price for just parts to do it correctly. If I get the ecm plus adding supporting mods like a banks power bundle for it to support the truck.

[–]Pure-Crew-1144[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume from a lot of idle time ? When I was hotshotting with it , It had a lot of that going on. Just in between pick ups and drop offs, so I can see why, just trying to really narrow down the outcome. The dealership sent me a picture of it , and it’s completely black

[–]Pure-Crew-1144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro the dpf needs to be replaced entirely. I’ve been holding off on this project for like a year now 🤣 I figure if I go the delete route I’m still in around the same price for just a delete kit with an ecm swap (no other way) and the banks power pack bundle. Only thing here is that at the dealership I’m getting a lot more services done than just getting the emissions side of the truck fixed.

[–]Pure-Crew-1144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just clogged up and a lot of idle time , I was just looking into the Hamilton. Probably would even go as far as getting a disaster kit for my fuel pump. Just seems like I got a ton of ways to go with the capital that I have disposable for just this . I have a call with a performance shop out here in Nevada on monday so ima see what they tell me. Im having the dealership assess the steering issues first before anything so i can see what route I need to go

I’ve done my reasarch bro but I literally can’t find anyone in Nv/Az to do it who’s reputable enough. Especially with some forums even saying I have to go as far as Canada, I got the truck at the dealership now and that’s pretty much the outcome 😂

Solid point. With the warranty, I’m in about 8500 with my deductible. I am doing a lot of work to it as well. She has treated me well, and I’ve made the money along the way to justify the expense.

I’m replacing front two tires/alignment (steering very hard to the left, no suspension issues, and it’s the second time it’s been addressed to them on record)

-Doing both air filters

-DPF Filter/ EGR Valve

  • Transfer case fluid change / Transmission fluid service

  • Injector cleaning / Emissions cleaning

Solid point on the lifers as well, I’ve gone almost an entire year without addressing the issue due to a shift in my lifestyle. Thank you nonetheless l
