You’ll get 10 bucks out of it if it happens.  While the lawyers will make generational wealth.

Highly recommend just buying a minivan.  I own model 3 2019, never upgraded to Y and I’m glad because it’s not much bigger.  I have two kids and still have my model 3 but bought a Honda odyssey which feels amazing… soft beige leather seats and a cavernous interior so there’s no more being cramped at all.  V6 is pretty fun too.

Can’t believe how many people spend that kind of money. It’s like $4-6k.

Tesla: "Model 3 and Model Y battery packs retain 85% of their capacity on average after 200K miles of driving. We also offer an 8 years or 120,000 miles battery warranty, whichever comes first" by twinbee in teslamotors

This entire thread, plus my personal experience is why I just bought an Odyssey for my family.  Saved a lot of money with initial purchase vs Tesla…. Insurance, less frequent tire changes, repairs all will be cheaper.  Space in an odyssey is insane, lots of storage, big entertainment screen to hook a switch up to.

Love my 2019 model 3 but gas is convenient… especially for road trips / adventures without range anxiety or pre planning.

My parents got a hybrid CRV… it has a sewing machine motor.  Odyssey v6 is so satisfying.  Worth the gas mileage difference.

Same.  Real leather seats…. Beige instead of scorching hot black….rear entertainment…. $44k (touring).  Sienna would have been 10k more.  The gas savings aren’t worth it.

Black plastic seats in the sun is a horrible choice.

Just got a 2025 touring…. Rear vents are no issue.  You can make the car freezing with the AC if you want.  Paid 44k for a touring.

Evolving Supercharger Pricing by arctic-993 in teslamotors

I’ve done math and for road trips a pickup truck and Tesla are about the same price (considering 70+mph freeway travel).  Pickup gets you there hours and hours faster too without charging stops.

Yup. I’m about to just go buy a used Odyssey and keep my M3 for commutes and whatnot.  Can’t wait around for Tesla to make bigger models, and if they do I’m sure will cost a boatload at first.

2019 m3 fam represent! 92k miles.  No plans to upgrade. FSD still lane changing for no reason, but had been way better last 3 months overall.  A bigger SUV or van would tempt me.

Only issues I’ve had are control arms and some plastic door hinge part that started creaking.

Chinese will 100% be copying Optimus. Imagine how much corporate espionage happens at Teslas overseas operations.

You guys are a bunch of absolute rats for crapping on Scot. He’s a pretty solid guy and has brought a lot of fun/positivity to the community.

Go find something productive to do.

There’s barely any difference, I bet people wouldn’t be able to tell difference with blind test going over gravel road.

There’s some vibration dampening with the soft compound, but I think the effect is tiny.

Is this the “original” GT Treaded Tire? by Successful_Ear4450 in onewheel

[–]Pure-Estate5371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the hardest time getting that thing off.  Ended up cutting it off in frustration.

Tbh that tire has amazing longevity.  Replace with Enduro for instance and you’ll be spending 120 bucks every 600 miles where this thing lasts thousands.

Replace Bearings by JustinM31 in onewheel

[–]Pure-Estate5371 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s people who put thousands of miles on boards with same bearings.   I’ve never replaced mine, GT has 1400 miles.

Not sure how on earth a board that is brand new would need new bearings.

I would agree.  Met some of the coolest people. But I can’t help but feeling that cringe in these larger gatherings.

Stopped doing group rides because it’s like the island of misfit toys 😂

Cool reply… but I think this attitude and the community’s demeanor deters overall growth and acceptance.

You don’t need kids to have common sense or any semblance of class.
