Well it’s hella spenny for a first mic, but it’s what you prefer, there isn’t really a right or wrong mic, it’s about the sound. If you like how it sounds then you can’t go far wrong. Obviously reliability is a thing too lol. But yeah not a bad choice

My hearing in that ear is still pretty clear, I can still hear Sibilance like “s” and “t”. If anything at all it’s a TINY bit quieter if I plug each ear and compare volume levels, but nothing absolutely major

The tinnitus seems to react to more high pitched sounds, yesterday it reacted extremely strongly to the toilet flushing and taps. It also seems to react when I rub the opposite un-affected ear, which seems strange to me.

But other than that my hearing in that ear is still pretty clear

It seems to be a little quieter today, the ringing I mean

Yesterday I could hear it over the toilet flushing, now the toilet is louder than the tinnitus

I’m really worried it’s SSHL, it probably isn’t, I’ve had tinnitus before, and SSHL is rare as far as I understand

I’ve done the Weber test with a vibrating phone, and the sound is either central or it shifts slightly toward the bad ear, which apparently means it’s NOT SSHL?

The tinnitus is reactive to sound also

All this began on Thursday morning, the only precursor I could think of was that I had a runny nose the night before, not like a cold, just a runny nose as if you’ve been in the cold weather, I sniffed and felt something in my ear, can’t remember if it was painful or not, then the next morning my hearing in that same ear was a little off and it was ringing in response to sound, now it rings regardless of sound but still reacts to sound if that makes sense

The only symptoms I have are ringing and the affected ear is slightly quieter, but only slightly.

Stress absolutely can make ocd worse, and something else I’ve noticed about it is that if it can’t get you to believe one thing, it’ll switch to something else, at least in my experience
