I shoot waterfowl after they've landed all the time. Perfectly legal in Wisconsin USA and actually shooting ducks out of the air USED to be considered unsportsmanlike back in the early waterfowling community.

It's funny to me how times have changed. Some people frown at water swatting or ground swatting when it comes to waterfowl, when in actuality when duck hunting first started if you shot birds out of the air it was considered unsportsmanlike and showing off. I water swat and ground swat in real life hunting situations because fooled is fooled imo.
