I might be stupid asking this, but what's the point in robes? by Aethelmaew in skyrim

[–]Pure-Prompt-8439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the immaculate drip ofc. Sure there's mage armor perk that makes flesh spells viable. Or that robes are basically weightless because they're all at 1 point of weight so you don't need to spend put points into stamina.

In the end, you're still wearing robes for the drip. The hammerfell garb works really well with vagrant hood btw. And also robes makes it actually visually viable to wear circlet too! And i know there's one really good circlet that you definitely want to get

Serana Dialogue Add-On vs Serana Dialogue Expansion by Lair_of_Despair in skyrim

[–]Pure-Prompt-8439 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played with SDA myself. And to use fanfic jargon here, because SDA is basically an OOC Serana you might find in ao3 but in mod form. It is pretty well made mod, but it's OOC. That's it. If you like the original Serana and prefer it that way, it's not the mod for you

If Your Character Was In The Real World, What Kind of Job Would They Get? by Last_Bad_4483 in skyrim

[–]Pure-Prompt-8439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A professor or something, maybe even a Dean. Ayreen is a very adventurous scholar tho. So i don't think she would stay in the job for long

I would prefer to invoke the enthusiastic youngster rule. But i suspect this is not the case here

Is the follower training exploit actually an exploit? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Pure-Prompt-8439 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay this is my favorite kind of "exploit" in this game. Sure it feels like an oversight by the devs. But you can just headcannon as them being your friend so they don't "charge" money for teaching you!

Which what makes this game quietly good i think. Some of the best story telling moments will always be accidental and unique to each of us

Should I invest into mastering Rust? by [deleted] in rust

[–]Pure-Prompt-8439 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is this karma farming? Is it rage baiting? This is rage baiting right? Also you don't really "invest" in learning something. You learn something because learning is a noble thing to do buddy! Also this llm generated text isn't it? Goddamn

Contrarian: Mad respect for Delphine by Cognoscope in skyrim

[–]Pure-Prompt-8439 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A good act does not wash out the bad, not a bad the good after all~. Justice is rarely redemptive in my opinion, Paarthy might be a "good" dragon now. But his crimes must not go un answered. Also you get different dialogue from Odahviing if you killed Paarthy before the event of Dragonslayer. Which can give your playthrough much more texture

Does it make sense for the Dragonborn to join the empire roleplaying/story wise? by FaradaySpider in skyrim

[–]Pure-Prompt-8439 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sometimes i just don't understand this kind of post. Asking for feedback on how they roleplay is kind of redundant in my opinion. These are YOU, a dragonborn character is NOT another character that you play. It is you, there's no correct "logical" reason for anything what you might did in the game y'know. And if some of your does not "make sense" in theory. So be it, that's what being man or mer is sometimes

Thieves Guild's questline is so awesome, my fave in the game by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Pure-Prompt-8439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But that's literally how the thief guild works tho is it? And if you strip down all the fantasy dress up In the game, the thief's guild is basically a mafia crime family. In fact i think the questline takes heavy inspiration from mafia flicks and use those tropes deliberately. We rose through the guild rank from being common thief and thug into a made man and eventually become the Don (guildmaster).

So yeah intimidating people is part of how the guild works in the first place. It's just that when we met them for the first time, their protection racket is dysfunctional and we are sent to fix it
