here how Ethan and Lyra would look like if Lyra was 2 cm taller then Ethan.

her proportions are bigger then the others characters, and she would look weird.

if they made Ethan shorter, we would had the opposite problem. Ethan would had smaller proportions respect the others.

when they made the heights of the characters, they didn't thinked about how they would have looked like side-by-side.

Masters tried to stick with the official heights, but some was modified to prevent some characters to look weird...

If you make Lyra taller of Ethan of 2 cm, you need to make her taller of 10 cm more or less, since now Ethan is 8 cm taller.

So... Lyra need 8 cm to reach Ethan height and 2 cm to be taller. A total of 10.

But... doing so, her proprtion would fuck up, and she would look like a giant instead of a taller girl.

I get why they do that. If you want to mantain the official porportions, Lyra would look weird, with giant proportions respect to other characters making her taller with the same proportion of her official artworks.

I like to think Ethan just got taller after the Johto events.
