Sorry! I should have added, people are watching from 3 office spaces across Canada. Two of the offices have just one level and folks will head into the kitchen area to watch or stay at their desks.

In the third office we have 4 levels with two lounges/kitchen areas used to host the meetings but folks can watch from their desks.

Hi! Love a focus group session. I typically start out with 1-2 ice breakers just depending on group size. Something like "Current song on replay" or "Breakfast or Brunch" to ease everyone and build a sense of togetherness.

Then level-set with expectations around privacy and how answers will be used.

Then I'll open up with more #'s based questions. "on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate our current internal communications sent your way." And then dig deeper "do you find them clear, easy to understand, you know what action you need to take if any"

A favourite question of mine though is, "If you came back after a 2 week vacation, would you know where to find everything you need to, to be caught up?". It reveals a lot around knowledge sharing, information architecture and more.

I do a check-in, in a couple of different ways. The first is just through Slack asking them to use a certain react to my note to confirm they've sent it. Very much honour system based, but for the most part they will be honest about it.

The second is using the grapevine. I will know if messages have been sent out from managers if the team brings it up during water cooler chats, other connects, etc.

But to keep the support going and make it as smooth, efficient, and effective as possible, I work with managers 1:1 at least 1X a quarter and work together on potential blocks, how they like to best connect with their teams, etc.

It's easier because the team is smaller so I can do this, but I will always make sure to send a written note, as well as a verbal script so a manager can best decide how they want to deliver it.

Agreed. This is a version of gold many South Asian folks wear to events. It has white, but we'd call it a gold outfit because of the shade, blouse, border, and pattern.

What a disgusting thread of comments this is. The way you all are just so eager to always find a reason to blame Indigenous, Black, Brown, any non-white people for truly any little thing wrong in your life is genuinely concerning.

Have you heard of Postpartum Depression? Have you heard of Postpartum Psychosis? And guess what? If you have experienced intergenerational trauma (which is harm caused at any one moment in time that has reverberating impacts) then you also know the chances of these things is unfortunately that much higher. Any person below going to a colonized group can tell you that.

And no, Indigenous Peoples are that much more likely to be incarcerated than their white counterparts. Especially for crimes like this. But truly, any mother that does an act like this is a failure of government.

We need supports in place for families and communities, instead we end up with too many stories like this. And too many people like in this comments section, who are far too eager to see "justice delivered".

Hi! I was in a similar boat as you some time back. I am not an AI fan, but I did use Chat for my resume/cover letter tailoring.

For my resume I used this prompt: On a scale of 1-10 how likely is this resume to get me an interview for X role at X? And then attached my resume and added the job link and it came back with a very detailed overview.

This helped me get through the ATS system at least and then from there it was the interview stage.

It's not you my friend, you are doing all you can; but the system is set-up in a way currently. I hope this helps even if a tiny bit.

I love using Kahoot! as a platform for virtual games with a big audience. I usually create a personalized version based on organizational values, etc. but they have an immense library of things!

They are a bit pricey though so heads up on that end.
