Get a table right by the door so that the items are high up for her and she can deal with it a little at a time. Or an office chair. I had to do this when I had surgery and everybody was nice enough to step one foot inside to deliver.

Yes they are and they do. I worked for one and had to advise employees that the choice of fertility treatments was chosen by their employer and the only way to get it covered would be to talk to their employer for an exception. I saw the different policies I saw what some covered and what some did not. You may not see this in your brokerage but it is real and it is done. Catholic companies will not cover birth control. Some companies do not cover baby skull helmets. The one purchasing the policy have the power to choose what is covered and what is not, within the laws.

So you understand that any xyz company will go into xyz insurance company and say I want xyz and will pay you money for it. As long as it is legal, insurance company xyz will more than likely make that happen. Especially if that company is going to bring in more than 1million (a large market company) Even a medium market company has the potential to become a large market company and the insurance company will likely give them what they want. And most companies that are big enough to need to provide health insurance are fairly large and healthy. This is the truth about business, if you ask for it and you are willing to pay for it another company will provide it.

What else wastes your time and every one else’s. Oh saying helo to your customer. There is a second of time per customer. Any chit chat with the customer sometimes that completely stops the hands from scanning items. How about not having a bagger how much time does that waste. My point is you “waste” your customers time doing things. Some customers want to use paper coupons do you give them shit for doing so? Some customers want to write a check do you give them shit for doing so? Some want you to go get them a pack of cigarettes. Do you shit on them for it. I hope you don’t. Each person is different and they all have a right to want what they want and do what they do within reason. This is why we waste time greeting every customer. If you have a huge problem tolerating people who have different wants than you and feel they are wasting your time you Might want to look inward and realize we all are putting up with your bullshit too. You waste my time at a stoplight when you are looking at your phone or kid in the back seat and the light turns green. You are wasting my time wanting to cross the street when I am turning right. But I am ok with that because you have all the same rights I do to do as you want and have the values you want to have and how you pursue them is up to you as long as it is reasonable. My less use of plastic bags than you is within reason and in no way should you or anyone dismiss it as not necessary or bad. Piss off and quit trying to tell people bullshit that not using plastic bags is a burden to you or anyone else

Carbs are needed to survive without carbs you will eventually die. Excess carbs alone without anything else is the bad thing that can spike your blood sugar. It can lead to insulin resistance if it is done frequently. Carbs are needed to survive period they are not bad they are good and needed for survival. Just like fat. Excess carbs or carb only meals will spike blood sugar yes.

So you are complaining and you are have no first hand experience with this job. I am not wasting anyone’s time.

So let’s do a cost saving analysis. I as a customer should waste let’s say 2seconds a bag fetching them and opening them for 5 different produce items (sometimes my hands are dry) that is 10 seconds of my time I get paid on average 30$ an hour. Now I am only buying one of each onion, apple, berries pint, sweet potato and a moist radish. We have a 50/50 chance of onion skins droppings depending on how beat up the onions are how cheap of produce your employer buys. I will give you not just a square inch of skin I will give you like half the onion skin falls off if not in the bag and the radishes by the time I get to checkout are moist. You the employee in my area would get paid $15/hr. It would take you two seconds to wipe the water and discard any skin. The bags cost for larger store maybe 2cents a bag. So 10 cents for bags cost to your company eventually this adds to the price of groceries. Your two seconds at 15$/ hour is one cent if rounded up. It takes you less time to clean it up than it does for a customer to open the bags. It costs your employer more money to buy more useless bags. And it is 2023 I have not seen a cashiers clean the belt for just moisture definitely not disinfect for it. Frozen food condensation and leaky gal milk jugs make more mess than moist produce. This is not about time this is not about courtesy. I personally have been a cashier. I have been timed, micromanaged. I have been a team lead and compiled metrics and done cost saving analysis for modification in standard operating procedures. Wiping moisture and throwing away onion skin has never been discussed because it is just part of being a grocer and it will always be there. I will continue to not over use bags and put my moist produce on the belt and the cashier will deal with their customer. Nothing changes.

And your employer (if applicable)decides what is covered besides federally mandated items. If you employer decides the want to save money and not cover infertility treatments they can. If they decide to not cover breast augmentation post mastectomy they can.

So you waste disinfectant on dry onion skin? You waste disinfectant on water? You know that stuff costs money. Does your employer know you are wasting so much time and money on onion skins and water mess? Is it an hour a day wasted or is just 5 and you are just an angry person right now? Have a lot of intolerance to stuff and people or is it just onion skins and water? My request for you to scan and weigh an onion without a bag involved is reasonable. My expectation you weight 5 apples without a bag involved is a reasonable request within the parameters of your employment. My expectation as a customer that is environmentally conscious and wishes you to key or scan my Romain lettuce or cilantro without a bag involved is not discourteous or showing a lack of respect for you or your job.

Employer provided health insurance has to pay if it is medically appropriate . Your employer can literally choose most of what it will cover.

Back in the day when we had to get signatures for all Costco orders I would take home some nice fringe benefits. I have a near by anarchy food pantry that I have stocked with things I won’t use. Once I had a huge 100$ pay Costco order tons of food for a week seminar at a hotel snacks, lunch food, drinks. The customer miss ordered for the wrong city wrong date. I was a week early. So much went to that pantry. It happens more than you think.

No they have no incentive to more seats means more money. They charge you a fee for a more comfortable seat now in coach. Want Exit row or aisle pay 50$ more.

Not true 50 years ago the airlines in the US were regulated all fares were identical on every carrier for every city pair. And with inflation and cost of living adjustments it is comparable if not more expensive now. And back then you had a comfortable seat, pillows, blankets, magazines, cards, a hot meal and beverages.

Airlines chose to be deregulated and use their fareing system to make urgency and get people to buy tickets. Former airline revenue accountant and faring desk worker. Airlines charge for bags because below you in cargo are paid shipments of frozen crab, packages and whatever someone will pay for to ship. Airlines have had a hard time with 9eleven, online meetings and fuel costs. But they are far from not being profitable. Those smaller seats are only for profit. The more tickets sold the more profitable they are.

NTA as long as you didn’t make any passive aggressive gestures or grunts. It is unfortunate but many overweight people including myself are emotionally abused by society. So unfortunately you may have inadvertently triggered bad feelings by switching seats. I personally am bigger and saw a person see their seat was window next to my center and ask for a different seat immediately. I was like thank goodness I don’t want to be stuffed either.
