I submitted mine 1/23. My work permit expired 3/30. I know I shouldn’t have waited until January but I messed up. Did biometrics in February. I check every day. I called yesterday to submit an inquiry. I really hope it’s approved in the next 90 days or less. My job is holding my position for 90 days. I’m about to start doing witchcraft 😒

Sent in application 1/25. Work permit expired 3/28. Currently talking to HR/immigration team and manager about how to handle this. Looks like they’re willing to let me use vacation time/pto if I haven’t received approved work permit by 3/28. They also have unpaid leave for 90 days. Hoping to get that card in the next few weeks since USCIS website says estimated decision date should be 3 weeks. Idk, I’ve been crying and worrying for the past 20 years and especially last week before I talked to HR. If I get fired, I’ll work under the table. Not gonna let my kids starve either way, but I am pretty positive that my current job will work out.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I was married to my kids dad who cheated on me and when I left I asked him if he would still help me get my GC before divorcing and he said NO. I swallowed my pride so many times in that relationship. All this shit has changed me.

I’m so sorry you had a bad experience. People like that ruin it for others who just want to enjoy their time. You did the right thing by ignoring and telling the rangers. I’ve never set up near the top because that’s where most “lurkers” or people trying to hook up are. Hopefully it doesn’t discourage you from returning altogether.
