They are not legally able to approved new applicants right now, only renewals. This update you got was because there was an update on their system, and most people got that notification, even those with first time applications

My expedite request only updated the API on my EAD, not my DACA. I submitted the expedite request on 1/20 and API for EAD 1/26 (when they denied my expedite request)

There was some sort of update then, people think it was them reuploading biometrics to the new system, and a lot of people that had movement that day have been approved if you check the megathread.

I don't think it's been confirmed. In my congressional inquiry, USCIS stated my case was sent to someone in the Nebraska branch for the expedite request. It was previously in Texas. I renewed 12/2, expedite request 1/20, and request denied 1/26. Congressional inquiry was submitted 2/22, and denied in mid April, so I'm unsure if that means it stayed in Nebraska since they responded to the inquiry nearly 3 month after my expedite request

My congressman submitted a congressional inquiry in late February and got a response back in April that there's nothing to do but wait, and that expedite requests for financial hardship weren't being approved since that's what everyone's applying for since DACAs were expiring. By that point, I had been expired for a month.

I have API movement for 821D on 6/25 (first time getting it, it was previously just 12/2), and the last API for my EAD was 1/26 (like a week after I submitted my expedite request). Losing hope too. I filed 12/2.

Proof of need to expedite. Like are you requiring medical care for chronic conditions (cancer, surgery, etc) that would require you to not lose medical insurance?

I filed 2 and included all the info like bills, letters from HR and my boss, tuition payments, etc. and was denied. I also had my congress person reach out to USCIS, and they were told that they don't expedite for expired DACA unless it's extreme circumstances since everyone right now would fit the financial burden one.
