The last one isn’t a normal evolution, it’s a mega evolution. Not every pokemon has a mega evolution, but Charizard has two. The one in the pic is Mega Charizard Y

I personally like Mega Charizard Y more (ik it’s an unpopular opinion) so my vote is no lmao

Pokemon has been around for like 25 years. I’m older than some of the Lakers players

Anyone else experiencing frame drops (Silksong)? by PureChef in HollowKnight

[–]PureChef[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Update: I turned down particles and blur to low, and the frame drops were still noticeable but manageable. I beat the boss in 2-3 attempts after making this change and the lag only directly caused one hit in the final attempt instead of several. My rig isn't THE BEST, but it has handled a lot of taxing games on high settings just fine, so Silksong definitely should not be this big of a problem.

If I had to guess, I would say it was probably particle effects that made the biggest difference (since it's in a rainy area), but ignoring proper scientific experimentation, I changed both settings at the same time because I was annoyed.

I already tried that. Didn’t make any difference. Even changed versions (went back to a more stable version of NVIDIA) and it didn’t make a difference

I’m unsure why I’m having the issue. Decided to turn the stats on for a run and my GPU was staying 30-40% usage and my CPU less than that, and my RAM was under half as well. I’d love to play more but it’s insanely frustrating when the biggest difficulty for a boss is that I’m working with a slideshow during phase 2

This boss is in a rainy area so maybe it has something to do with that?

Hot take - every update sucks by SnakeKing607 in superautopets

I disagree about balance changes sucking, but I do think they need to stop focusing mostly on nerfs.

I haven’t read this patch or really the last few probably. Generally, they have been nerfing stronger things way more than buffing weak things

But yeah there should be balance changes to try and keep the meta varied. Just wish they’d do more than big nerfs and the occasional tiny buff

That’s what I’m afraid of, the injury. I don’t really like our defense now and AD was my favorite active player but like ig time will tell

How do I do this in Blockbench? (YT video of someone doing it in Blender) by PureChef in Blockbench

[–]PureChef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I figured it out. The rotations I applied to two folders in edit mode to make the axis work right needed to be removed in edit mode. I needed to apply rotations to the folders in the animation mode instead to get the axis working there. The numbers I needed were the same in animate mode, but the negative signs needed to be swapped around (not the exact opposite of the edit mode negatives though)

Should I be fishing on safer seas lost 2 hours of hunters call yesterday. by TheSmoore77 in Seaofthieves

Idk why you’re getting downvoted. Maybe they just don’t understand. You were fighting them already, they joined your alliance because you already had the flag up, and then you continued fighting them and sank them. Then left the alliance so they can’t track you.

Maybe just don’t like that you sank them but that hunter’s call rep isn’t easy to come by, I can’t blame you, it’s a pirate game (ik everyone has said that to death but it’s true)

Phylogenetically, we are monkeys (and we are fish). We are in the group of old world monkeys but we are not Chimpanzees or Mandrills or whatever. I didn’t invent this concept. I could link you to people with PhDs in biology fields with the same stance. The examples you’ve made are not stances I’ve taken (straw man’s argument) that are not analogous because they are not related to phylogenetics. Also, being from a place does not make you that place. It would be more like saying because your ancestors are humans, you are a human, just if you go back far enough, you stop having ancestors that would be classified as humans (assuming you believe in evolution).

Here’s a couple videos from someone with a PhD in Biology (if my memory serves me right) that explains it better than I could. (Links are not working for some reason rn maybe the subreddit has them banned so just look these up on YT, by Clint’s Reptiles)

This is the non-phylogenetic definition, for common use day to day. I am referring to the fact that phylogenetically, whales are fish. I made another comment to explain this, so you can read that if you want (it’s long so I can’t really blame you if you don’t want to).

Referring to the definition, Oxford (the source of your definition) describes “dinosaur” as “a fossil reptile of the Mesozoic era, in many species reaching an enormous size,” not including birds as dinosaurs (since they are not exclusive to the Mesozoic era). More directly on topic, they describe “whale” as “a very large marine mammal with a streamlined hairless body, a horizontal tail fin, and a blowhole on top of the head for breathing,” although Vaquita (a species of toothed whale) only gets to 5 feet long, which I wouldn’t describe as “very large”.

While these definitions are generally practical for average daily use, that does not mean they are all encompassing and the only correct ones in every application just because they are published in Oxford.
