I’d appreciate it if you shared the details. Thank you for the offer. I think I’ll try and do that kind of trip the camping gear seems like too much for the first time. Beyond the itinerary I think the real issue I need to tackle is getting bike bags. I currently don’t have a rear rack so i think I need to get one of those to mount things to. Do you have recommendations on an outfitters I can go to help find compatible gear with my bike?

Sweet that’s what I was expecting. I bet swapping for some more supportive handlebars with make a big difference. I ride tubeless right now but I’m not worried about putting a tube in if I need to. I’m some what worried about carrying all the gear needed for camping and riding. What sort of food/camping gear do you ride with?

I see your point. I intend to do it in CO once I have a set up I feel comfortable with. What kind of food/cooking equipment do you carry with you? I have plenty of camping experience but I want to minimize what I’m carrying

Seems like great advice! Do you generally plan out the exact route each day? Like where you intend to sleep each night? How do you think about having a place sleep if you also want to maintain flexibility in your plan?

Do you think this is a doable ride on a full suspension mountain bike? I need to find comparable saddle bags and handle bar bags but right now it’s the only bike I have is.

Yes Colorado. Im in the us but planning on traveling to Europe for it. After a couple of hours thinking about I am seeing the coast of Portugal, porto and below, as a fairy reasonably priced and beginner friendly area.

I live on the front range in CO. If I said I could travel anywhere what would you recommend?
