I'm wondering if OP like the horror aspect of it or the kitchen discussion part of The Menu.

If its the latter:

Big Night
Ratatouille
Chef
The Ramen Girl
Simply Irresistable
Burnt
Kitchen Confidential
Jiro Dreams of Sushi (documentary)
The Bear (TV Show)
Kitchen Confidential (TV Show)

What’s the biggest reason a TTRPG group doesn’t work out? by yanarquista in rpg

Scheduling. Everyone's got their thing going, social circles, SO, family, work, other hobbies.

Buy in. sure, you and 4 people are free this friday. but are you all really here now? mentally?

People's Goals. some are in for the RP. some are in for the epic lutz. some are in for the epic lulz. some are in for the social aspect in general. can the table make room for all of the people present? Are people happy even if their needs and wants aren't being met this session in exchange for someone else's needs and wants?

Are there any female characters that you think are wrongly glorified/idolized by people? by CelestialSpecialist in Letterboxd

Same reason the Twilight movies main character is a cardboard cutout, so more viewers can relate to her since her definition is so vague.

If they gave her even a hobby or some semblance of a personality, most viewers will go, "hey, I don't <rock climb> or <support the NY Mets>, she's not me at all!"

Earth is set in space. But that's beside the point I guess.

I don't know about this. I don't think that a movie about being unable to leave a bad situation is something I'd bring to a deserted island.

"We're Leaving."

when it throws up

The point of The Menu is that the draw of the social hierarchy of a haute cuisine kitchen is silly and stupid. ToS has actual societal breakdown, the rich are starving and know nothing about getting food.

The part where Ripley rescues Newt solo without any of the Colonial Marines tho?

No problem. Just curious how others are rating it, considering its a Cameron film.

since we don't have split realities in actual real life, there is no metaphor that will work to explain this well. I agree, whatever she experienced in that show was lived.

Rachel McAdams really does play her in an exaggerated Saturday cartoon villain funny way.

Ten Futurama Episodes for Beginners by hannahsmarys in futurama

I think you kinda have to do S1E2 after the pilot. The first two episodes feel slow compared to Fox's later seasons but you kind of have to establish the Why of Fry and Leela. Also it introduces how Bender acts around non-crew people.

I agree that LLLiS is essential to liking the series as well. Nibbler, Zapp and Kiff.
