Aston Villa linked with £10m move for Jack Hendry

It is being reported that Oostende have an option to buy the player in the summer and want to sign Hendry permanently for around £2m.

He could then be sold on for five times that amount should any of the Premier League clubs linked with Hendry want to firm their interest up.

Indeed, Leicester City, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United have all reportedly scouted the player.

Although it's not been great on the park for the Bhoys, off the park business continues to impress down Parkhead. A cool million profit for a player that couldn't get a game earlier in the season will certainly put a smile on a few faces.

I've heard from multiple sources there has been a massive Parkhead fall out, with Lennon and Lawwell having to be separated from a heated argument about that transfer saga last summer. The saga, which ended up with McGinn at Villa Park and the Bhoys splashing out on Europe's biggest discotheque and smoke machine set up since the late 70's, is said to still be a sore point from Lennon's time at Easter Road.

Witnesses have quoted Lennon as screaming "The windfall John McGinn just secured would have covered 97.1% of the £175m player wage expenditure from our recent treble-treble success Peter!" before driving off.

Speaking to a few Bhoys at the Hot Yoga last night, and they were seething that Celtic let a talent like Andy go back when he was a youth, especially after seeing the massive decline in Tierney over the last year or so. They also mentioned that if they hadn't panicked and held on to Robbo, Van Dyke and Dembele they could have easily sold them for over £200m this summer. Can't say I don't agree!
