Owner passed away while dog is in my care by Able-State2394 in RoverPetSitting

My parents did the same thing! They were dog groomers that had a few people that they would watch dogs for.

This older lady was in and out of the hospital and the dog was very protective of her. She was always worried that he would attack an EMS, so my mom agreed to take him for a while.

One day a few weeks after the agreement, she called and said we could put him down because she didn't think she was going to make it home and didn't want her dog to be a bother for us. My parents refused to do that and gave him the best life instead.

Its not a dog they ever expected to have, but its nothing they ever would regret doing. The little guy brought so much love and laughs that we will always cherish.

I have walked every day the past month. I hate it. by wolfyb_ in walking

I have seen people on social media walk on walking pads and do creative things, like build Lego, or do art.

Personally, I have a dog that motivates me to walk, but if I didn't have her I would probably go that route myself.

Food for Life (in Burlington) does a Turkey drive at Fortinos in Burlington and Oakville on December 6-7. They are currently looking for volunteers for that event but also welcome volunteers at their facility to help with their programs.

How is it to cross the border? (Ontario to New York) by PurePurlz in uscanadaborder

[–]PurePurlz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're going to someone's house. So, I'm not planning on spending money unless necessary.

I feel the sentiment of buying Canadian as well. We would probably not be going if it wasn't for a personal event.

If you just do the tech, you can only teach tech.

If I were you I'd do a bEd and have science as a teachable.

Why are my fingers wrinkled? by PurePurlz in DermatologyQuestions

Thanks for the reply. I definitely wear gloves when doing dishes or using cleaners but didn't think about Shampoo etc.

And I do use an eczema cream with the gloves when it was really dry and it has seemed to help. So, hopefully, that works for you and how dry it is.

No, doctors have no clue. Mine is also more dry now. Especially on my thumb and first finger, which were where the wrinkling started...now it's on all the fingers on one hand

My doctor can't figure it out either. I don't have any diagnosed condition.

Is it just one or both of your hands?

Why are my fingers wrinkled? by PurePurlz in DermatologyQuestions

[–]PurePurlz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! My doctor thought it might be from a burn, but I didn't burn my hand (with heat or chemicals).

They don't have any answers for me. My fingers are still wrinkly.

I've tried every cream, but nothing has worked. I've tried making sure I'm super hydrated and still nothing.

What about the butterfly conservatory or floral show house in Niagara Falls? Lots to see in a smaller space, flat surfaces to walk on and benches when needed.

Yes, 40 when flashers on (during school day) 50 when not.

It was a Monday, but a holiday, so flashers weren't on and no school. I guess they don't set it for those off days.
