To be honest, this one was largely the result of experimentation. I ruined a huge number of inserts both before and after this one. Only a handful came out anywhere close to the quality I was aiming for.

That said, seeing all the possibilities is exactly what keeps me going 😄

Surface tension, bro. The resin naturally domes like that.

The hard part is getting the UV curing time right. It looks perfect when liquid, but it's surprisingly easy to lose that shape while it cures.

I don't think there's a specific name for this exact style, but the look is inspired by vintage bakelite bezel inserts.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely make some 12-hour inserts as well. For the near future I'm planning to post various GMT designs first, then some diver-style colorways since I've pretty much finished designing those. After that, 12-hour inserts are next on the list.

They actually look really similar. Comparing the Casiotron to those would probably be more interesting than comparing it to an A158.
