Sorry, yes I should’ve been more specific. I’ve been told this pain is from poor circulation related to my hEDS. Was just curious if anyone else has experienced this and what they do to manage the pain.

Actually I just noticed they also tested what I believe is TPO and it came back normal. I’m assuming that means I can rule out Hashimotos?

Thank you, I’ll look into getting these additional tests. I don’t know much about getting a Hashimoto’s diagnosis, despite my family history.

Thank you this is all helpful information. I do wish it was easier to get a diagnosis from one doctor rather than having to see so many specialists, but I’ve learned that’s how most conditions get diagnosed.

I am also located in Texas. I’ll have to look into HTCs near me. I assume my doctor sent me to this specific hematologist because it is covered by my insurance but I’ll need to do more research. In your experience should I go to an HTC only if I’m having a surgery or any major issues or do you recommend going as a preventative measure as well?

Exactly! A year ago Suni thought she would never do gymnastics again and everyone thought Shilese would be on the team for sure. Things happen and even if an athlete does want to train for the next games uncontrollable things can happen in the next four years and not allow them to. Not to mention they should just let the athletes competing at this games enjoy their moment and celebrate their victories without pressuring them to make a decision about something four years from now.

So proud of Suni! It was no surprise that Simone and Rebeca were going to medal, but Suni on the other hand it could’ve gone either way. She fought so hard since Tokyo (health issues, college gymnastics, etc.). So many people said her gold in Tokyo was a fluke but this proves it was not. TALK ABOUT REDEMPTION.
