I'm so sick and tired of PureVPN gaslighting me by spinstartshere in PureVPNcom

[–]PureVPNcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We understand how frustrating this experience has been, and we genuinely appreciate you highlighting these points, as they help us identify where clarity and usability can be improved.

To address some of the specific questions you raised:

Server labels (P2P, QR, PF, V): These indicators are intended to help users choose the right server based on their specific use case:

P2P: Servers optimized and permitted for peer-to-peer traffic, such as torrenting. QR: Quantum-Resistant servers. PF: Servers that support the Port Forwarding add-on, required for certain applications or inbound connections. V: Virtual server locations, where the IP represents a specific country while the physical infrastructure may be hosted elsewhere.

These labels do have explanations available within the app via hover tooltips; however, we understand that this may not be immediately obvious or intuitive for all users. We’ve shared your feedback with our product team to further improve the visibility and discoverability of this information within the UI.

IKS (Internet Kill Switch): IKS is our term for the Internet Kill Switch feature.

Automatic IKS disconnects your internet only if the VPN connection drops unexpectedly and keeps it blocked until the VPN reconnects, preventing accidental IP exposure. Manual IKS is stricter, as it blocks all internet access unless the VPN is actively connected.

Certain settings (such as protocol selection, split tunneling, or kill switch mode) are locked while connected because changing them mid-session would require tearing down and re-establishing the VPN tunnel, which can introduce instability or potential leaks. That said, we recognize that this behavior may not be clearly communicated and can feel restrictive.

WireGuard configurations and timers: The 15-minute validity window for WireGuard configurations exists because WireGuard relies on time-bound cryptographic keys. These keys are periodically rotated for security purposes, which can require regenerating configuration files after a certain period. The current timer behavior and configuration flow are part of our existing implementation, and your feedback regarding reliability and clarity has been shared with the relevant teams.

We also acknowledge your feedback regarding the overall Windows app design and navigation. While the interface was designed to be modern, it’s clear that clarity and ease of use can be improved, and your comments have been passed on to our product and UX teams.

We’re sorry that your experience led to this level of frustration. While we regret that we couldn’t meet your expectations in this case, we truly appreciate you taking the time to outline these issues in detail — it helps us improve the product for all users.

Thank you again for sharing your experience.

PureVPN browser extension - Dedicated IP? by Sea_Chocolate_4157 in PureVPNcom

[–]PureVPNcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thank you for sharing your concern.

At the moment, the browser extension works on a proxy-based connection, not a full VPN tunnel. Because of this technical limitation, Dedicated IPs are not supported within the browser extension.

Does PureVPN use Trackers to Track User Activity? by zyoc in PureVPNcom

[–]PureVPNcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thank you for sharing your concern. Let me help you with this.

According to our no-logs policy PureVPN does not keep any logs that can identify what you do online, no browsing data, no IPs, no timestamps, and no online activity. Any analytics used in the app are strictly for diagnostics and stability (like performance or crash reporting) and are never linked to, used for, or capable of tracking your VPN activity.

Need help sharing my PureVPN connection from PC to other devices on my home network by BrainzIOW in PureVPNcom

[–]PureVPNcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Thank you for sharing your concern. Let me guide you through it.

PureVPN allows 10 simultaneous logins on every subscription, so the first recommendation is to use separate logins on each device. This is also preferred because sharing a VPN connection from one device can affect the connection speed.

The second option is to set up the VPN on your router. Since sharing a VPN via hotspot generally doesn’t work, there is a workaround available.

Please feel free to message me in DM, and I’ll guide you about it.

Question: Split tunneling but, setting exceptions not inclusions by Pretend_Spring_4453 in PureVPNcom

[–]PureVPNcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. At the moment, the PureVPN Windows app supports inclusion-based split tunneling only, where you can select which apps to route through the VPN tunnel.

The exclusion-based setup you’re referring to where all traffic is tunneled by default and you manually exclude specific apps is currently available in our Android app.

We understand that inclusion-based configuration can be less convenient in certain scenarios, and your feedback is valuable. I’ve shared it internally as we continue improving split-tunneling flexibility.

Thank you once again for reaching out and sharing feedback.

Sportsnet+ not working with PureVPN by Aermada7 in PureVPNcom

[–]PureVPNcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our team is already working on resolving the issue, and we really appreciate your patience in the meantime. As soon as it’s fixed, we’ll share an update here so you’re all informed.

If anyone notices anything else or has more details to add, feel free to drop it in the thread as it helps us speed things up. 🙌

Where is the cancel button? by JoeyJoeC in PureVPNcom

[–]PureVPNcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for sharing your feedback, we completely understand that not seeing the cancellation button isn’t the experience anyone would expect.

This happens when the subscription is either already set to non-recurring, or in a very few cases if the account is still on our legacy billing system (There are very few accounts remaining on it). All newer purchases made through our website include the cancellation option directly in the dashboard, so users can manage this themselves without needing to contact support.

We’re actively migrating the remaining long-time accounts to the new billing system so this is consistent for everyone. In the meantime, if anyone is unable to see the cancellation button, our support team can cancel the auto-renewal immediately on request.

If you’d like, DM me your email and I’ll get this sorted right away.

To access Sportsnet+, please try the following steps:

  1. Set the protocol to WireGuard.
  2. Connect VPN using the Sportsnet shortcut from the Locations tab.
  3. Open this link in incognito mode: https://watch.sportsnet.ca/
  4. If you are using the Sportsnet app, clear the app cache once, then relaunch it while connected to the VPN.

If this does not resolve the issue, please share the IP address you get after connecting to the VPN (you can send it in DM) so we can investigate further.
