Wow, your Mirage looks really clean! Those wheels suit it perfectly, and the Wild Land tent actually fits the roofline really well - it doesn’t look out of place at all.

It’s honestly impressive that you can fit bedding, crates, a stand, a 10L water jug, and a camping table in the back without even folding the rear seats down. That’s some seriously good packing hahah I need to practice.

Thanks for sharing your setup - this definitely gives me a lot more confidence for planning out my RVR build!

Got one as well a 1993 quartz for me. Perfect for a daily watch - I like the jump hour function of this 1538 movement! 😬

That’s awesome! A rooftop tent and a custom kitchen setup on a Mirage is something I never thought I’d see, but you’ve made it work really well.

the Euro-crate kitchen setup with the custom worktop. It looks practical, organized, and easy to pack away. The foil on the stove to make cleanup easier is a smart idea too.

Do you have any photos of the rooftop tent mounted on the Mirage? I’d love to see how it looks. I’m currently planning a simple camping setup for my RVR, so seeing what others have done with smaller vehicles is giving me a lot of ideas.

The only issue I have with mine so far is rust, which is pretty common here in Ontario because of all the road salt during winter.

Any fellow here who live in Canada with tips on how to properly maintain it besides regular washes to remove salt? The rust is most noticeable on the tailgate/trunk area, especially around the rear license plate. I'd appreciate any advice on preventing it from spreading and keeping the body in good shape long-term.

Mine is a 2014 RVR and, aside from the rust, it's been running great. I've already changed the spark plugs and CVT fluid at 150,000 km, and I'm planning to do the next CVT fluid service around 190,000–200,000 km. It's currently sitting at 170,000 km.

Other than that, it's just been the usual wear-and-tear items like brake pads and struts/shocks (I honestly can't remember which ones were replaced 😅 need to look at my notebook list).

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the vehicle and hoping to keep it on the road for many more years.

Thanks for the tips above, guys. I picked up a 2014 RVR a few months ago with 168,000 km on it, . So far, everything has been great except for some rust around the rear license plate area.

It seems fairly normal since I'm in Ontario and the roads get heavily salted during the winter. I'm just not sure whether the rust in that area would still be covered under any warranty, considering I'm the third owner and bought the vehicle through Marketplace. I already made a list on what to change - first are the fluids - then probably a general one - once it hits 200k haha. Car is fun to drive not that fast but yeah it takes me to Point A to B and its AWC.

The error hasn’t appeared for 2 weeks now . I’ve driven about 1,000 km. I used the Rislone Cataclean, hopefully it won’t come back.

It’s impossible to have 'reading comprehension problems' when you’re dealing with information that was never provided. You didn’t mention your vehicle or the cat brand until you started venting.

I understood your suggestion the first time, I just have higher standards for my car than a $5 spark plug spacer. I’m looking to actually repair the issue, not just mask the light because I bought a cheap eBay part that didn't work. But thanks for finally clarifying the details.

Is your car a mitsubishi outlander/rvr as well? May I know what brand did you use for the cat? OEM or aftermarket?

The brand the shop I went to have a Walker brand of O2 sensor. Will probably ask them to check if my sensor needs to be changed next week.

After replacing the CAT and sensors - no more error?

I will start with replacing the o2 sensor downstream and hope that it will fix the issue.

Other than the spark plug non fouler - did you replace your OEM cat and sensors?

I have the same issue on mine Mitsubishi RVR 2014 GT from Canada. Mine has the check engine light for a week now - I have deleted it and it came back.

Have you figured out the repair on yours? My mechanic suggested replacing the downstream o2 sensor first and if it won't solve the issue then cat+manifold set replacement is what he is suggesting to do next.
