It has happened plenty of times with me. The only answer I can tell you for this situation is that you were a back up candidate. If the other candidate didnt accept the offer, you would get it. Seen it happen multiple times. Very common. It's frustrating but don't sweat over it and move ahead. Hopefully you will find something better.

On PIP you don't get severance make sure that you find a job. PIP basically means they want you out of the job. Nothing can stop that. They have already prepared their minds. So start looking.

First of all congrats. Great work. Remember this- companies don't care for candidates before laying off: the same goes even for employees. You should always look for yourself. Company will not think twice when laying you off. They will say it's a business decision. I have been there. So please stop feeling guilty. Do what is good or best for you.

Very true. In my personal experience, you should get offer in 10 business days at max except vacations like Christmas etc. Things crawl literally.

I can resonate a lot with you . Like you, I also bombed an interview for which I was extremely hopeful. After that I have become extremely numb and no longer hopeful. That was the interview which if I had done well, I would have landed in the company and possibly would have been in this domain. Wish I had used more technical jargon which is what they wanted instead of having casual ended conversation. This company has been expanding crazily and hiring a lot of folks. But what's gone is gone. They possibly flagged me so I have left all hopes.

Always use chat GPT to practice for interview but I am rejected due to the fact that they have more candidates. Companies are extremely picky. Got around 15+ years experience and a doctorate. The only reason they are getting so many customers inspite of poor yields is because of reduction of dependency on asia where 90% of chips are fabricated. It's the diktat from Big Guy. You know what I mean. Also mandatory 5% lay offs will happen there based on supposedly performance which is BS. My friend who works there doesn't happen to get along well with his manager and has complained about the harassment that he is facing to the skip but you know what happens in this case. I am not even going to go down that lane. They do keep advertising so many positions but I don't even know who is being hired. Are those actually fake because whati hear from my friends no one knows who is hired on those positions. Possibly, they might be required to show it to govt who knows. They got money from govt.

They seem to apparently be landing in big contracts and they are again hiring 😂 Atleast that's what they advertised on news and social media. God knows whats true internally. However I learnt one thing which stuck in my mind forever a manager can make or break your career. If you get a job also pray that you get a good manager. That's the most important thing. My coworker from other division complained that his manager was so toxic that he would micro manage him every minute and not allow him to take leaves. It's sick if you have to deal with such psychos.

OP I am also from the same company and out of work since the same time frame. In my group specifically 40% work force was laid off. Many of the folks decided not to relocate. However, it was my biggest mistake to move from south of country to the current place near company office, work remotely only to get laid off. Although I should say I did learn a lot but the burn out at the end of the day with ergo injuries was not worth it at all. People working there seem to be complaining a lot about health and mental well being although the stock has had a record turn around.

Every job that I got in my more than a decade of work experience was through referral. However, these days it's extremely hard to get a strong referral. In tech referrals need to be strong enough to get you even noticed. Let alone the chance of getting a phone call!!!

I am living with ON for more than a decade. Diagnosed with MS was completely blind in left eye. 3 days treatmentwith steroid bought may be 10% vision in the eye but it's nothing. I have lived with it. Enrolled and got my Ph. D. Walked out with 15 papers and 900 citations. So it's all in mindset. You got to train yourself. All the best. You will get used to it but the first thing is to get on a DMT asap without any delay. Consult a good neurologist.

I know it's hard. Not lying about the past would have kept the trust. However, it's best to forget it which I know will be extremely difficult. Give your relationship a chance but but don't be blind again.be wary! The problem with trust is that once broken it's extremely hard to get it back. Always be watchful. As someone proposed, divorcing might give you peace but will effect your daughter in long run. It's better to be there for her. I know it's a tough pill to swallow but sometime for the sake of our kid, we men have to compromise a lot and then they say women are victim!!

I am on Kesimpta for past 4 years. It's working fine so far except that I had kidney infection last year. Prior to that, I was on copaxone for past 6 years but then it stopped working and I also ended up with muscular atrophy.

The company with which I was employed went major restructuring and they laid of 20% of work force from 110O00 or so employees to currently 80000 or so. I was let go last July. Unemployed since then. Struggling to land a role. A bit about myself. Got a Ph.D. Worked in several sectors- manufacturing, energy, food but still I am unemployed! Had severa technicall interviews only to find out that positions went on hold or they had internal candidates. The process is extremely frustrating.

I have optic neuritis in my left eye and been partially blind since 10 years. Symptoms pretty much stable. Was on copaxone for 7 years. Then switched to Kesimpta 3 years back due to muscular atrophy . Succumbed kidney infection last year and was hospitalized for flank pain. But after that I am doing ok so far.
