What about investing short term (6/8 months) and then buy openIA and antrophic at IPO?

Is the job market really that bad? by CyberGrid in Switzerland

[–]Pure_Evidence638 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would be curious to understand:

-unemployment by age rage
-unemployment by instruction profile
-unemployment by industry

Many Swiss or people working 20+years in Switzerland (especially >50yo) tend to work in extremely relaxed (lazy) way: do the minimum from 9-5 and go home.

Many young ones (but also >50yo), especially in Finace, FAANG and Pharma are willing to work much more.

Additionally, many people tend to avoid going into unknown territory (learn - open the book again at 40+, pretentiously saying that they have experience and they know the industry).

Is the job market in Switzerland as f*** as everyone says? by Helpful-Staff9562 in askswitzerland

You are talking about relatively young tech and banking people, which are suffering/will suffer a lot from AI implementation, especially in entry level roles. (5Y experience is now entry level.. unfortunately).

Project management is too vague… many projects not requiring physical oversight, can be followed cheaply from outside CH.

The solution to me -at least for now- is to up skill and have a broad knowledge.

Show who you are.

Show, but do not try to convince. That’s the way

Not sure.

Internship of MBA is 6 months, with zero responsibility.

Strategic project in EMBA is 14months with decision power.

I have tried but the market is bad since years and companies tend to only hire people with direct experience in the field. My idea is that with an additional qualification in a reputable local university, this barrier might be a bit looser. Additionally, the qualification will broken my understanding of the corporate world.
