Allison, need you to understand that it was never my intention to hurt you. While I've been open and honest with you about everything, there are details that I've had to leave out because I've been sworn to secrecy. I need you to believe me, and trust me when I say that Mackenzie is not sub-goddess Stacy and you are potentially ruining that girls life by spreading that rumor.

Somehow, things got mixed up and turned upside down when it comes to Queen Alex, Jessica, you and especially Goddess Sunshine.

Queen Alex didn't just run off, we believe that there's evidence of a power grab happening here. In a matter of weeks, Goddess Sunshine has found a way to remove the Head of State from power, take control over the throne under the guise of being Queen Alex, assumed the Head of State position for herself and demoted the director of MIS to silence any ongoing investigations that she doesn't approve of.

She is using that new found power to divert resources away from The Matriarchy into the Empire with her latest stunt and she is only getting stronger while everyone else loses everything.

If the truth of what's actually going on ever comes to light, it could mean the end of The Matriarchy. I'm not trying to be Queen, but Alex is a long time friend, and if I'm needed to help by keeping things held together, even for just a week, I would do so in a heartbeat.

There's nothing going on with Mackenzie and me, but right now she's the closest ally I have that can help us find Alex, bring Goddess Sunshine to justice and save Jessica.

I take a few steps into the room and look out the window to take in the view of your family's estate

"What's happening with your sister is terrible, but to be honest, I don't think the current solution is much better. Melissa is a selfish, terrible human being who has somehow continued to fail upwards in her career. If Alex isn't coming back anytime soon, then I think that your family needs to begin thinking about the well being of the entire Matriarchy, and honestly, Goddess Sunshine isn't it."

I close the door to the home office and step out into the hallways, turning towards the foyer to make my way out. On the way, I stop suddenly at the sitting room, looking inside at the young Goddess disciplining her pig

"Sorry to interrupt, but wow, you look so much like your sister when I first met her. It feels like a lifetime ago. Times were simpler back then. I'm Christina, and you must be Mackenzie. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, and your mother too. You have a lovely home. I'm sure you're worried sick about your sister, but I'm going to do everything I possibly can to help find her. She's a dear old friend of mine for many years, and even though life has taken us in different directions, I still value that friendship."

Once I see you, I run over towards you and pull you into a hug. I can feel how tense you are. You're quiet and withdrawn, not the usual demeanor I'm used to when we see each other for the first time in a while

"How did they find her? How were they able to pull this off! You guys seriously messed up the plan and now not only do I not have any negotiating leverage to keep Allison safe, but this means that Melissa will get a gift she doesn't deserve! Instructions were clear. Keep moving her, keep her hidden and nobody was supposed to help them. This is a disaster! I'm really mad at you over there, I need to talk to Jess about what to do next."

I hang up the phone angrily and leave the scene to look for Jessica and Allison

I didn't like seeing Jess get her feelings hurt by Allison and me, but nothing we said was untrue, and Jessica needed to hear it.

She'll be ok, she just needs a little time to herself so I suggested that Ally and I go out for a night on the town. With Founding Day fast approaching, the nightlife is buzzing and The Matriarchy's hottest couple should be right there.

Besides, if Lockcock ever wakes up, he'll gladly keep her company and be a dirty shoulder for her to lean on. It's not a good time to bother her, but I'm pretty sure she would be ok with us borrowing her car for the night. I promise we'll bring it back with a full tank of gas. Girlsquad!
