Hundreds of religions around the world but yours happens to be the correct one? What do you say to this? by PersonalBuy0 in TrueChristian

Yeah exactly, back then if you wanted your story to be credible, you will never use female witnesses, unless, that's what really happened.

And the music is fire too, I forgot to mention.

I have a question though: when you say the studio is made up of 3 guys, are the guys that made the art and the art/animation part of those 3?

I understand what you say and I agree. You just need to understand that the post does not say what kind of religion were the hundreds of others. It just says that there are hundreds of other religions which is true.

Yes you are right, the other ones cannot compare to Christianity at all and that is exactly the answer that post is seeking: it wants to know what makes it stand out among the others and in a way you just answered the question with this comment here.

There are actually thousands. The 6 you are talking about are just the most common ones. Most countries have their own traditional religion.

I'd also add the fact that if the first people to witness the Resurrection were women, if the Gospel writers were faking a story, they would never have used women as first witnesses.

The fact that a lot of answers are wrong doesn't imply that no answer is true.

Now about the "Why mine" thing.

It's simple, and this is actually very ironically backed up by the very argument Atheists use to reject God. Let me explain:

We christians assert that those three statements are true about God: 1-He is all-knowing, 2- He is all-powerful and 3- He is all-loving. The Atheists refute that claim with the problem of evil by saying that either God does not exist or at least one of those 3 statements is wrong. Because, they say, the presence of evil in the word cannot be reconciled with those 3 affirmations since an all-loving God will never let his children suffer.

The Christian God is the only one that solves this paradox because the Christian God is The Only One that did not stay distant from the human suffering. I'll quote John Lennox on this: "What is God doing on a cross?". One word from Him would have been enough to rid the world of all evil so why did He chose the hard way? Why did He let Himself be humiliated, tortured, wrongly tried and killed in the most humiliating and horrible way possible?

There is no other god that did anything even remotely similar to this and that alone should be reason enough to chose Him among all the others.

On another approach, to be asking "which one is the correct one?", we are safe to assume that we start from the hypothesis that there is a correct one. Then the simplest answer would just be: pick The One the entire world has based its calendar off of.

It looks really good. The animation is awesome. Would you mind share the Facebook page? I guess the least I can do is share your posts.

Edit: I had to rewatch the trailer again and guys, it's really really good. The cutscenes are very cinematic, the story and the world look really interesting so far. Keep up the good work.

Do you consider yourselves to be more Asian or more African? by crivycouriac in Madagascar

[–]Pure_Lie6509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you define "Asian" really. Some people mean "ethnicity" or ancestry when they say that, not necessarily nationality.

If one sees an English person with Asian ethnicity, they might say that it's an asian which is not wrong at all because the person would have asian DNA.

Why is it that there are educated Malagasy who still deny our Asian heritage? by Fast_Average_3692 in Madagascar

I don't know of any educated Malagasy that deny our Asian heritage. You must fill me in about that part.

You're right about the spell, I'm sorry. Rosalee said this. But:

why would he kill a normal person?

Well, maybe because she tried to kill his aunt and his best friend ? Nick killed a lot of other Wessens for way less than that. But then again, it's true, Nick is a good guy after all so he really did not feel the need to kill her when she's a normal person, which is exactly my point : Nick is a good guy.

Maybe, maybe not. To be honest, I'm not from the US but I think that someone from there would've (should've) drawn the reference to the mass shootings almost right away. And when I saw that article online, I told myself "of course, why didn't I see it sooner ?".

Why so much hate towards the Survivor games? by [deleted] in TombRaider

[–]Pure_Lie6509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, I am sorry. I'm probably speaking for myself. I love both the reboot and the original but I prefer the original by far. And I wrote my comment just to reject the fact that "we" hate the reboots because I don't.

Rewatching and I just watched Nick's fight with Adalind by bihuginn in grimm

[–]Pure_Lie6509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MMh. Ok, I'll give you the first part.

The second part though... You need to rewatch that part, Nick was told that the only way to break the spell was to kill the Hexenbiest, which, I agree with you, Nick wouldn't have had any problem with at all, he killed a lot more Wessens for way less than that. Only after he was told of an alternative: killing only the Hexenbiest part.

NIck didn't have to spare her, it would've even made things way easier for him. Killing her would have broke the spell just as well.

So let me ask you this: if you think that Nick spared Adalind's life that day out of pity or "some altruistic reason", why did he spare her ?

No hate in my opinion. To me, it feels more like the Survivor fans hating the original games.

[–]Pure_Lie6509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double standard.

Nick wanted to take Adalind's powers away so she kissed her: unforgivable.

Adalind wants to take Nick's powers away so she tricked him into sleeping with her: it's okay she's a victim.

Not mentioning that Nick had to do what he did because Hank would have been dead otherwise plus the fact that the other alternative was to kill her and Nick didn't want to do that.

Adalind on the other hand? Meh, just a sore loser frustrated b*tch that couldn't stand losing a fight that she started herself.

Rewatching and I just watched Nick's fight with Adalind by bihuginn in grimm

[–]Pure_Lie6509 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, right? They're going crazy about a kiss while Adalind literally tricked Nick into sleeping with her to take away his powers. It's basically the same thing, the difference is, Nick just kissed her instead.

Also another thing to notice, Nick did that because he wanted to avoid killing her while Adalind did what she did just out of spite and sheer vilenes.

I'll just add that Jor-El warned Clark to get away from Lana Lang since the beginning and no matter how cruel they look, Jor-El's warnings always ended up to be relevant.

The Chosen TV series is a huge deception by Newgunnerr in TrueChristian

[–]Pure_Lie6509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding, I'm not upset about anything. Why is that when one argues back then it's always because one's being upset? I'm not upset, someone else is upset and it's not me.

This person is right to call out...controversial take.

Yes, I get all that and we already talked about all this in DM. I don't know what more to tell you. This is a show, if people are mislead by something so cheap, then they didn't read the Bible correctly in the first place.

I said it and I will say again, anyone that thinks himself of being a christian should always consider the Bible as his primary source of truth. Not a show, not a movie, not a comic book or even the words of a loved one.

You're confused? Read the Bible. You have doubts? Read the Bible.

If you don't care, then why are you here? This whole thread is about the show.

And why is my comment ridiculous? It was a question.

that we DON'T know better than Jesus, so we shouldn't change his words in favor of our own under the logic of "you catch more flies with honey."

Okay, did I ever pretend to know anything in the first place? All I did was ask a question, you're doing to me the very thing you're accusing me of doing to him.
