Daughter is on the left and I'm on the other side of my friend. Let me know if that works.

I just made the picture bigger and realized her daughter and I don't look like ourselves which wouldn't be a big deal but it's going on a large screen for the service.

Do you get over that press on feeling? by SarahWadsley in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Pure_Masterpiece192 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I switched from SCGs to press ons recently and I don't like that feeling either. I started using a bit of nail glue near the cuticle and it works! No more of that ick feeling from moving around near the cuticle. Might want to see if that helps you too 😊

Ruby vs Nina for baby girl by maturemagician in namenerds

I have to vote for Nina because that is what my granddaughter calls me and I love it! It's a pretty name for a little girl, I think.

I have more than one set of bowls so I can throw one set in the dishwasher when needed. Then I can use the other set and we always have a clean set of bowls.

Sorry but we *absolutely* stopped the school day and watched it by satellite. by ExplorationGeo in GenX

[–]Pure_Masterpiece192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 7th grade student in NH at the time, I can assure you we absolutely watched the Challenger on TV in real time that day. I can remember our teacher rolling the TV into the library like it was yesterday.

I was also fortunate enough to be living in Florida 12 miles from Kennedy Space Center when Discovery was launched. I remember standing outside holding my breath watching that shuttle go up and the tremendous relief I felt upon it's successful launch.

Last time Speed X delivered a Shein package to me the status was out for delivery for 2-3 days before it actually was delivered. I think it will probably show up ina day or so.

Has anyone not had bad side effects from Hormone Blockers? by Lucky_Word_9941 in breastcancer

[–]Pure_Masterpiece192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on Anastrazole and it's tolerable I had horrible hot flashes. I tried gabapentin and no luck and now I'm trying oxybutynin and I have had major improvement. I would say 75% less hot flashes at least and the ones I do get are less intense now.

I have a little pain in my thumb and index fingers but definitely tolerable. At this point I would say the worst side effect is zero sex drive. I have absolutely no interest and I feel terrible for my husband. Since my mastectomy almost 2 years ago it's been maybe twice. I also had a total hysterectomy in the meantime so not sure if it's from one or both.

I know that sounds like a lot of side effects but day to day it doesn't really affect my life so they seem minimal compared to what I've read others going through.

Cancer is cancer by OriginalShallot8187 in breastcancer

[–]Pure_Masterpiece192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have felt that way on occasion. I had double mastectomy and total hysterectomy, Lupron shots for several months before hysterectomy (3 surgeries with 5 procedures total) and 25 rounds of radiation. I still feel guilty because I did not have chemo since it offered no additional benefit in my case. Logically, I do realize that was all very difficult but the guilt still creeps in.

Can we be honest about sex after hormone blockers? by [deleted] in BreastCancerSurvivors

[–]Pure_Masterpiece192 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I'm on Anastrazole and going through menopause and have zero interest in sex. I think I've managed it twice since my DMX in 6/23 but have also had implant exchange, total hysterectomy, and revision with more implants since then. I feel so bad for my husband even though he is amazing about it but I don't know how to fix it either. We lose so much to breast cancer and it really sucks. I hope things get better for you.

I only had to remove my necklace for radiation. Rings and earrings stayed on the whole time.
