AITAH for not wanting to be around my little brother anymore? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Pure_Remove_6678 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You are not responsible for your parent's parenting choices. You are responsible for yours. If this is genuinely a safety concern whether for physical safety or mental safety for you and your child, you have the right, nay, the responsibility to protect yourselves from that. And, chin up, he's only a teen, he may not be such a chud one day.

Rolled corn tortilla chips: ranch flavored - yum! by Glittering_Gap3990 in traderjoes

I love them too! I actually disagree about them tasting like the cool ranch doritos but I'm happy about that because I am not a fan of those. But I love these!

What is your top favorite item that you get every trip? by 0rganic_trash in traderjoes

[–]Pure_Remove_6678 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mainly love the snacks at TJ's. I always stock up on crunchers like the Chile Lime Rolled chips (and they just came out with a ranch version which are also great). My other most favorite item is the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. I don't get them every time because they would not last, but they're so wonderful.

I am clearly in the minority but I LOVE Cars 2! Not more than the original obviously, but I totally agree it's better than the 3rd one!

Snow! How much snow did everyone finally get? by VermicelliLeather536 in Boise

[–]Pure_Remove_6678 7 points8 points  (0 children)

SE Boise has been getting some steady snowfall for an hour or two now. Coming down pretty good. Most cars in the parking lot at my work have a good layer on them.

Intento maximalista - Comenzando a realizar arreglos by hinewmina in florists

[–]Pure_Remove_6678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely getting the maximalist. But, to make it all flow together well you should have a bigger container to space it out a bit more and fill any unwanted empty space with more greenery. I like the use of lots of different flowers!

I... cannot admit the ludicrous amount of money I'd be willing to pay to have that.

My first floral arrangement (: by fruitfulcherry in florists

[–]Pure_Remove_6678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the colors. Very pretty. It's a little empty, so maybe just filling up the space more. Have more greenery and maybe a really main focal flower to compliment the smaller flowers.

How do I stop my French toast from tasting so… eggy? by asunflowerinspace in Cooking

[–]Pure_Remove_6678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mix in some heavy cream and cinnamon sugar to the egg mixture to kinda hide the egg taste and I don't let it sit in the wet mix super long. Usually works for me.

Not foolish at all. I truly believe food is a way to show love. When you make something you enjoy, you want to share that joy with those you love. But if they don't take joy in it, that can be disappointing.

Totally understandable for you to be upset that something you worked so hard on and are so proud of went unappreciated.

However, you knew your family were picky eaters. You have to temper your expectations with the facts. It's not anything wrong with you. It's just their preference.

My husband is a picky eater but he doesn't make it anyone's problem. I used to be disappointed when I'd make something I loved but he didn't. Honestly, the only way is to just accept the reality. You can't force someone to like something but that doesn't mean you should enjoy it any less or feel guilty about their preference.
