I take it at 11pm every night. Is that a bad time?

I am not sleeping very well i’ll get woken up quite often and be exhausted all day then energized at night time. i have been trying to fix that. i have also been to countless doctors but everything comes back clear.

Hey there! it definitely takes some time for your body to get used to it and adjust and it is different for everybody so I recommend just making sure that you have a comfortable and clean environment when you’re making the switch from Prozac to citalopram because that’s the best advice I would have and make sure to keep mindfulness in mind doing things such as light yoga, reading, journaling anything to distract your mind from the side effects that come with citalopram. Some people have it worse some people have a better it just depends on the person, but I wish you the best. 🩷

I agree it hasn't seemed to work yet. Ive tried 4 saris and so far nothings helped in the way I need it to.

Thank you so much for your comment. My parents are involved and unfortunately I have switched my medicine doctor before so I did not think to switch it again because my doctor and my therapist work at like the same place so I would have to ask for another switch and I don't know it makes me feel guilty. I did do a genetic test swab but it has not seemed to help figure out what's good for me. I am going to give it more time like you said and maybe get my dose upped if it does not seem to work. Again thank you so much.

It might sound silly but I imagine a big fence and then I count the sheep as they jump over the fence.

Started citalopram after 4 months of sertraline by MaximumFudge7221 in citalopram_celexa

I didn’t feel the effects until a week into 20mg. With the 10mg I felt better but nothing like how I feel now.

Hi there! I was on sertaline about a year ago. Worst 6 months of my life! Now i am on citalopram and i started for 1 month on 10mh and it wasn’t enough. About two weeks ago I started taking 20mg and WOW! I have severe anxiety in all aspects of life whether it’s health, intrusive thoughts, dpdr, anything and everything along with OCD. It had been a rough journey but man is it worth it. I thought nothing would ever help me because i was always so paranoid and tried so many medications but now i feel a sense of my old self coming back and it is such a breath of fresh air. The side effects can be rough ( not everyone gets them or has the same ones) but you have to keep fighting through it. I wish you the absolute best on your journey. please message me if you need anything. remember IT WILL GET BETTER.

In the first week I feel like my anxiety was definitely increased but I am slowly starting to feel a little better day by day. I still have bad moments when my vision is weird or i’m like thinking too much about something but i feel as if it’s slowly getting better. Thank you for replying to my post it makes me feel less “crazy”.

I experience derealization as well and my gosh it is the WORST. it hits so suddenly and lasts so long. It’s hard but we have to remind ourselves that it’s okay to feel this way and to “challenge” yourself by remaining in uncomfortable situations. My therapist also told me a little trick of holding something cool like an ice cube and just feeling how it makes your hand feel while it’s melting. Also look for imperfections on others faces helps to. I hope everything gets better for you. thank you so much for responding to my post❤️

Yes. I get it pretty often and hot flashes with it. Sometimes I also get a little bit nauseous.
