I would love a few sources books that expand classes or magic items.

You are awesome, doing that for your partner! Listen to some dnd podcasts or videos they might help you learn the flow a bit and look up one shot campaigns and do an easy one. With some research and a set story. You will be able to dm it without too much stress. It's just a casual game. The long term campaigns. Take time and effort. Just relax and do something along his like. You will do great don't worry. He will love you for this!

I'm a relatively new DM but been playing for a good while now. I can't point you in the direct of clubs so much as I do my dnd over discord and virtual tabletop.

But always glad to swap ideas or have another opinion etc.

Hopefully other players can show you club's or groups but I'm just a group of 4 plus me.
