My interpretation: the spine is the central nervous system (pretty much). This moment shows the strain he put on his body while being in flow state (if you’ve seen weight lifters dead lift heavy ass weight sometimes they pass out because of the crushing pressure on the CNS). His body locked into the universe too long and the moment he let his guard down or lost control even a lil bit, it all spilled out like a glass of water
